#PastRedeemed
“A hopeful thread. A life giving thread. Even out of your darkest, hardest days, even after your worst mistakes. Listen, I got really good news for some of you. In Christ Jesus, your past is not your own. It's not even yours to regret. It's just the Lord's to redeem. Your past is not even yours to regret. It's just the Lord's to redeem. Your past is not even yours to rehearse or regret or stay stuck in. It is God's to redeem, because you've given your life over to him. And this whole timeline is this, including your timeline. That's what it means that Jesus is Lord over your life.”

#LamentWithHope
“We worship, and then we're sad. Sometimes it's appropriate to be sad. The the biblical category, lament, is a good category to embrace. There are things to be sad about in this broken world. We do get sad, but we don't grieve or lament as those without hope. I've got really good news for you. Nothing bad can happen today or for the rest of history that can undo the good of the resurrection. There's no news headlines that will undo the power of the resurrection. There are things to lament, things to grieve. There's nothing to build your life around, only grief. There is the resurrection power of Jesus that will never be undone.”

#FutureInGodsHands
“Your future, not yours to worry about, not to be afraid of, or to grasp for control, to manipulate, to manufacture, try to make something happen or make something kind of out of it. That is not yours to negotiate or to hold on. Here's the really good news. Your future isn't yours to worry about or hold on to. The future is in the Lord's hands, and the Lord holds the best version of your future. The Lord holds the best version of your future. Will you trust him with it?”

#WorshipOverHeadlines
“The response is worship in the first century and the twenty first century. My friends, good news to you and me as we swim in chaos and things that make us anxious or angry or feel sad or helpless or wanna stew in all these conversations we have in our head with people that we'll never talk to, never see. We've had these conversations in our head. I got really, really good news for you. Jesus is lord, not the headlines. And worship is the thing that cuts through the noise That can anchor you in what's true, right, and good in the first century and the twenty first century.”

#TimeWithJesus
“When you give your life to Christ Jesus, the alpha, the omega, the beginning, the end, when he stands outside of time, he he walks with you with his nail scarred hands. He shepherds you. Your relationship to time changes. The future, not yours to fear or control. The past, not yours to regret or glory in. And the present, not yours to sort of grab a hold of or or wrestle down. It is all gift. You trust the Lord with all your heart. Open up your few frames to the grace and mercy and the truth and wisdom of Jesus Christ, and you walk with him all your days into eternity.”

#FewFramesTrustGod
“Listen, if all of history is a film strip, god's at the beginning, and this whole thing is just hurdling to him at the end. And he holds this whole thing, this timeline. It's not that big. For for for the god who's the infinite god, the whole of human history, not that big. All of creation, no big deal to God. He holds the whole thing in his hands. And you and I, we just get a couple frames in this thing. We can just get a couple frames. And you have to decide what are gonna do with your couple frames? Are you gonna trust the God who holds this whole thing in his hands? Are you gonna trust something else for purpose, happiness, peace, direction, guidance? Who are you gonna trust with your few frames? Who are you gonna trust with your few frames? You only got a couple frames. What are you gonna do with them?”

#JesusIsLordAlways
“Jesus is Lord no matter what the news headlines say. Jesus is Lord no matter the latest bad news. Jesus is Lord no matter if you're angry or anxious or fearful or feeling sad or helpless, Jesus is Lord. He's the ruler of heaven. No matter what's happening here on earth, that's the truest thing in the cosmos.”

#WorshipFirstNotFear
“So here's what John's saying here, these first few verses of Revelation one, relevant to the church as it's in a sea of chaos and anxiety and fear and threats, relevant to the twenty first century church and to you and me today. Listen, when you're facing evil, threats, suffering, or crazy headlines, here's what we don't do. We don't fight, stew, anxious, sad, helpless. Like, that's not where we camp out. Those aren't the places where we spend our we spend our energy time. That might be your first response, like your gut response, but we don't start there. We don't stay there. As Jesus followers hears what happens when you see a story that makes you feel one of these things. Instead, we start with worshiping Jesus Christ. That's what we do. That's what Jesus followers do.”
