Dedication, Purpose, and Resilience in Faith

Summary

In today's gathering, we celebrated the profound privilege of dedicating our children to the Lord, emphasizing the importance of raising them in godly homes. We reflected on the story of Moses, whose mother, Jochebed, defied the king's edict and protected her son, ultimately setting him on a path to deliver God's people. This narrative serves as a powerful reminder of the influence parents have in shaping their children's futures. By instilling godly values and teaching them their true identity as children of God, we prepare them to be world changers, equipped to overcome the challenges of this world.

We also acknowledged the distractions and temptations that can divert us from our purpose in God's kingdom. Yet, we are reminded that our resolve and commitment to God must remain steadfast. Just as Moses was raised with a clear understanding of his identity and purpose, we too must make up our minds to serve God wholeheartedly, regardless of the distractions we face. The enemy seeks to distract and discourage us, but we are called to rise above these challenges, knowing that God is with us and has a plan for our lives.

As we look forward to the return of Jesus, we are encouraged to invest in the kingdom of God, both spiritually and materially. Our efforts to spread the gospel and fill our churches are part of a larger divine plan. We are living in a time of great spiritual awakening, and we must seize the opportunity to reach as many souls as possible. The prophecy of a worldwide revival is unfolding, and we are called to be active participants in this movement.

Finally, we are reminded that when we fall, we must get back up. God's grace is sufficient, and His mercies are new every morning. Our failures do not define us; rather, they are opportunities for growth and renewal. As we dedicate our children and ourselves to the Lord, we commit to living lives that reflect His love and purpose, trusting that He will guide us and our families in His ways.

Devotional

Day 1: The Influence of Godly Parenting
Raising children in a godly environment is a profound responsibility and privilege. The story of Moses and his mother, Jochebed, illustrates the significant impact parents can have on their children's spiritual journey. Jochebed's courage and faith in defying the king's edict to protect her son set Moses on a path to become a deliverer for God's people. This narrative reminds us that by instilling godly values and teaching children their true identity as children of God, parents prepare them to be world changers, equipped to overcome the challenges of this world. [28:50]

Exodus 2:2-3 (ESV): "The woman conceived and bore a son, and when she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months. When she could hide him no longer, she took for him a basket made of bulrushes and daubed it with bitumen and pitch. She put the child in it and placed it among the reeds by the riverbank."

Reflection: Consider the values you are instilling in the children around you. How can you be more intentional in teaching them about their identity in Christ today?

Day 2: Staying Focused Amidst Distractions
In a world filled with distractions and temptations, maintaining focus on our purpose in God's kingdom is crucial. Just as Moses was raised with a clear understanding of his identity and purpose, we too must make up our minds to serve God wholeheartedly, regardless of the distractions we face. The enemy seeks to divert and discourage us, but our resolve and commitment to God must remain steadfast. By keeping our eyes fixed on Him, we can rise above the challenges and fulfill our divine calling. [46:16]

Hebrews 12:1-2 (ESV): "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God."

Reflection: Identify one distraction that often diverts your attention from God. What practical steps can you take today to minimize its impact on your spiritual journey?

Day 3: Investing in the Kingdom of God
As we anticipate the return of Jesus, we are called to invest in the kingdom of God, both spiritually and materially. This involves spreading the gospel, filling our churches, and participating in the worldwide revival that is unfolding. We are living in a time of great spiritual awakening, and we must seize the opportunity to reach as many souls as possible. Our efforts are part of a larger divine plan, and by investing in God's kingdom, we align ourselves with His purpose and contribute to the fulfillment of His promises. [51:38]

Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV): "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Reflection: Reflect on how you are currently investing in God's kingdom. What is one new way you can contribute to the spread of the gospel this week?

Day 4: Resilience in Faith
When we fall, we must get back up, knowing that God's grace is sufficient and His mercies are new every morning. Our failures do not define us; rather, they are opportunities for growth and renewal. We are called to rise above our shortcomings with renewed strength, trusting that God is with us and has a plan for our lives. By embracing His grace, we can overcome our past mistakes and continue to walk in faith, confident in His love and purpose for us. [01:54:08]

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV): "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Reflection: Think of a recent failure or setback. How can you embrace God's grace and use this experience as an opportunity for growth and renewal today?

Day 5: Living with Purpose
Our lives should reflect God's love and purpose. By dedicating ourselves and our children to the Lord, we commit to living in a way that honors Him and fulfills His divine plan for our lives. This involves aligning our actions with His will and being intentional in our daily walk with Him. As we seek to live with purpose, we trust that God will guide us and our families in His ways, equipping us to make a meaningful impact in the world for His glory. [33:13]

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV): "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Reflection: Consider your daily routines and habits. What is one change you can make to ensure your life more fully reflects God's love and purpose?

Quotes

It's the will of God to provide our children a godly home. Somebody say amen. Turn to your neighbor, shake him, say, wake up, it's church time. It's a little weak around here. Not sure if it's the weather or what, but we get an opportunity to raise our children in godly homes. [00:27:29] (24 seconds)

We get an opportunity to raise our children a home. A home that's free from all the temptations, demonic influences, worldly vices, brokenness. Somebody needs to shout, we're raising up a mighty, righteous generation of world changers that are going to influence the globe. [00:27:55] (25 seconds)

Moses learned everything he needed to know. About being a Hebrew. Any new. There was a purpose on his life to deliver God's people. Jaca bed. Put in that baby everything he needed. Justin the short. amount of years that she nursed him. The impact we're making on our babies will set the course of their future forever. [00:31:37] (31 seconds)

I want us to thank God for that. I believe God is raising up world changers in this church through godly parents. You may think you're not making a difference, but every time you pray, every time you teach them the word of God, every time you remind them of who they are, Moses could never forget his true identity. [00:32:11] (23 seconds)

You are not going to be destroyed by this world. You are going to overcome this world and you're going to be great in the kingdom of God. These children are going to stay in the kingdom of God. They're going to see the blessing of the Lord in their life. Moses knew he didn't belong to Pharaoh. He belonged to God. [00:32:41] (20 seconds)

And we're going to teach them that they are not of this world, but they belong to Jesus. Amen. And we are going to believe that at the earliest age possible, they will surrender their own hearts to God and that he would become their own Lord and Savior. Amen. And God. Lord, Lord, the word Lord actually means owner. [00:33:13] (27 seconds)
