39s
“``And the same is true for us, my friends. We have to learn to trust people, to release things to people, to release things to the Lord. We cannot be everything to everybody all the time or we will be nothing to nobody ever. It's a humble thing to say I'm not the best at everything. But it's a real thing because nobody in this room is the best at everything. But you might be the best at a few things that God is calling you to and that he has anointed you for for such a time as this. What are those things? Protect them.”
49s
“I want you to notice that Moses did amazing things. God called him, God equipped him, God worked powerfully through him, and he still found himself in a wilderness. Okay? You might be in a wilderness. God has not abandoned you. God does some of his greatest work in a wilderness, in the wilderness seasons, in the wilderness moments, in the wilderness relationships. John the Baptist was empowered in the wilderness. Jesus was called to the wilderness, led into the wilderness by the spirit. And it says when he came out of the wilderness after being tempted, he was hungry, he was tired, he was tempted, and he went on to preach and he preached with anointing and the authority that changed people's lives. God does a lot in a wilderness season. So don't run away from him in it. Lean into him in your wilderness season.”
64s
“And if we entertain this and if we are lured away and if we take the bait, pride begins to seep deeply into our lives. And we begin thing. We begin to really feed the lie that everything is all up to me. We believe it. And you know why it's so easy to believe these things? Because they kinda taste good. We are looking for purpose. We want to be needed. We're desperate for our identity. And so the devil knows this, and so he puts these little lingering thoughts that feed our pride. And they feel good for a while, but I will tell you pride will destroy everything good in your life. Every relationship, every job, every interaction, everything that you love, it will all be ruined if you allow pride to take root in your life. Don't linger around those kind of thoughts.”
75s
“He dangles thoughts like, Becca, you know nobody can do this better than you. Right? And you begin thinking, nobody can do this? No. Really? May maybe. Maybe I am the best at this. And as you entertain this thought, you grab hold of the hook. Maybe you hear this thought, oh, nobody can do this without you. Oh, really? Without me? I'm that important. know what? I don't think anybody sees how much this is costing you. Poor you. Can you believe all these selfish people? Nobody sees You poor thing. You know what? You're right. People should be appreciating me more. And the devil puts these little thoughts into our head and we think they're little innocent thoughts to entertain, but underneath is a giant hook of pride.”
