#PresentGuardian
“``This is not the image of a distant God observing us from afar, dipping in from time to time, putting a date in his diary when he can possibly sort out some problems for us. This is a present, attentive guardian. This is someone whose attention does not fade even when ours does. His awareness is not weakened, and his presence is not interrupted. His care is not occasional. It's continuous.”

#NothingSeparatesUs
“And what I've learned is that there have been times when I've said, but Lord, I'm stumbling. It feels like I'm falling. Where are you? And I think one of the things that, I've learned on my journey of going through some incredibly tough stuff, that the promise is not that you will live a pain free life. The promise is that nothing will separate you from God, that no evil has power over us. Nothing will separate you from his promises, from his love, and from his purpose that he has placed in you.”

#JesusThePilgrim
“And Jesus also came to earth as a traveler, and he also walked that road. And we know as a child, he ascended to Jerusalem to celebrate and mark those festivals, and we know as an adult, in his last week on earth, he came as a traveler, as a pilgrim, into Jerusalem to celebrate Passover, to recognize and remember that time that the Israelites were freed from the slavery in Egypt. And he came knowing that at the end of that week, he was gonna free man once and for all.”

#GodsSteadyCare
“And for us today, that is deeply reassuring that we don't have a distant God. We're not trying to work all this life out on our own. We're not there trying to work which way to go, but we are not unseen and we are not unguarded. We have a God whose care remains steady even when life feels unstable. His attention does not shift even when ours does.”
