Day 5: Filling the Void with God’s Presence
Humanity was created with a God-shaped void that, when empty, seeks to be filled with worldly substitutes. These substitutes, no matter how valuable, can never truly satisfy and only lead to more striving. Through Jesus Christ, the way has been opened to fill that void with God Himself. Choosing to prioritize worship, prayer, and God’s Word is an act of trusting that He is our ultimate satisfaction. This is the path from conflict to true, lasting fullness. [45:04]
And you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
(Colossians 2:10, ESV)
Reflection: What spiritual practice—such as prayer, Scripture reading, or worship—could you prioritize this week, even if it feels like you are “losing” time, to intentionally fill your heart with God’s presence instead of the world’s substitutes?
