#ForgivenessAndConsequences
“```Forgiveness doesn't erase consequences, but a godly posture helps me face them. The question is not whether consequences will come, but whether we will let god redeem them. When it comes to day David's legacy, you and I are gonna hold two things in tension for for forever. On the one hand, he's known after a man a man after God's own heart. On the other hand, he brought shame to God's name. David's words of repentance in Psalm 51 and the posture he held afterwards, though, serve as a model to all of us, and it is through the line of David from which Jesus, the lord and savior of them all, will come and has come. David imperfect? Absolutely. Surrendered? And that's why he's a man after God's own heart.”

#SurrenderAndTrust
“David's lost so much. Now he's on the run from his own son. He speaks such deep words of faith. I let go. I'm sending the ark back. If I get to see it again, great, but if not, so be it. I'm not gonna argue. I'm not gonna try to bargain. I will accept what God has for me. No conditions. No resisting. It's up to him and not me. I am ready for God to do whatever seems good. What a beautiful picture of surrender and trust,”

#PostureOfTrust
“Are you clinging and holding? It hurts, but my life wasn't supposed to be this way. Can you let go and trust that the God who can heal any and work in any circumstance from any con consequences can heal even through that? It always has been and always will come back to this, a posture of trust. Being a person of God's own heart like David, it's all about surrender and not perfection.”

#GodlyPerspective
“No matter how hard I try on this side of eternity, I'm not going to see the whole picture as he does, and I need to cling to faith in God's character and in God's goodness. But there's one more perspective to consider, and that's the perspective from David. He's the one that experienced all this firsthand. And when one might be tempted to be angrier at God than at David, it's time to step back and see how David responded, which leads us into the second truth. The first one being sorry and doesn't erase the refect set in motion by one's actions. In other words, the first truth is forgiveness doesn't erase consequences. But the second truth is, but a godly perspective, a godly posture helps me face them.”
