“``I remember when I got word that Hazel had passed. I thought, oh my. There's gonna be a big hole. Who's gonna intercede for me? And the bible talks about the incense of God. The prayers of God's people are like the incense that goes before the nostrils of God. And I think that smoke is still lingering from Hazel's prayers. And I believe that while you may not be able to volunteer kids' water day, maybe you don't want to necessarily work at VBS, and you make some good cookies, I'm sure. Or or, M and M's casserole. Have you ever had that? There somebody knows how to make that here at your church. But I know this. We're never so old, we're never so feeble, we're never so busy that we can't pray for one another.”

“All I know is this, that while I was out doing things that were hurtful to myself and my character and my my faith, she was praying for me faithfully. And her and my son myself and Danny, we both became pastors or preachers. Several kids in our youth group, experienced revival because during that summer, later that summer, Danny and I both came to faith, and from there, it was kinda moving forward. That woman's prayer in the night, I think, changed the trajectory, not only of my life and Dan's life, but the life of our whole youth group. We all went to the same high school. We there was one school in town, and our church was a big church. We had a thou or a 100 kids in youth group, thousand people in church. We all went to the same high school. And the prayers of that lady praying for her son and for his hooligan best friend made a difference in our lives.”

“And I I don't I don't call Daniel anymore for not showing up at the, the Plain Of Dura, for not being there when the boys were standing there saying, we're not gonna bow to this king. Daniel didn't even bother going to the plane. When the music blasted, instead of going to the plane, Daniel climbed the stairs to his room to pray for his friends. What would happen if that's the kind of life that we lived?”

“But, it was about 02:30 in the morning. We had rolled the car down the hill and bumped into the driveway with the motor off and as quiet as we could and really glad it didn't have squeaky brakes. And, and we opened the door really carefully to the house. They didn't have alarms or any of those kind of things. They didn't have a a camera out front to see what time was going on. But we opened the door to the house, and just up the stairs from where you entered Danny's house, like, I'll never forget this house, was his parents' bedroom. And the door was just slightly open. And I heard these these sounds from Danny's mom's bedroom. Thank you, Jesus. And I heard her crawl back into bed. She knew we were out doing shenanigans. She knew we were gone from the house. The holy spirit had woke her up in the night and said, pray for these boys. And she faithfully prayed for this.”
