#PrayToTrust
“``Now we might think, oh, god knows what you need, therefore, I don't need to bother praying. But Jesus says, therefore, pray. Why? Well, it expresses our trust, doesn't it? It expresses that trust in god because faith is actually active and living, isn't it? If we walk around thinking, well, I know god gives me stuff, but then never actually come to him and say, God, I know that you you give me everything. Please, could you provide for? Then we don't act out that trust. But as we do act out that trust, we come to know and love the giver because we keep coming to him, and he keeps showing his wisdom and generosity, and we know him as a loving heavenly father, not a sort of spiritual vending machine in the sky. He's gonna put the things in, and and he gives us what we need.”

#FeedOnTheWord
“We'll survive on every word that comes from the mouth of God. We need to be like the sheep in the Middle East. The shepherd takes the sheep, and the pasture is not big green English fields. It's the little bits of morsels of green which have have been fed from the rain which runs off the rocks. And the shepherd is wandering through the wilderness with his sheep, finding the next bit of green pasture for them. And Jesus is doing that for us in his word.”

#IndependenceIsntGod
“Our society has independency and being independent as something of an idol. Now that doesn't mean if you've gone to being cute to pick up some screws, you're an idolater. But but do you understand that there's sort of it's in the atmosphere. It's good to be independent, isn't it? It's good to do it yourself. Make your own toast, sort yourself out. And in many ways, these are good things. We do want to teach young people to to be have an independence. Of course, we do. But within our society, that can become an idol.”

#GiveGodTheGlory
“And when that happens, what are we doing? We're effectively stealing God's glory Because God has made all things. We saw earlier that passage about Jesus who who is created all things and all things were for him. In him, all things hold together. And yet, when we forget that and think, well, I'm the self made man. I've done it myself. Myself. I've got everything that I need. We become proud. And we don't give that glory to God, and it ends up on ourselves. I've done very well. Thank you very much. Of course, I've got everything I need. I work very hard for it. And so on and so on. So this coming to god humbly on that utter dependence will keep us from pride.”
