#BringWhatYouHave
“``We want to believe that we don't have enough and the simple truth is that we don't. But, we're never gonna have enough. We will never have enough money as a church. We will never have enough time as individuals. We will never have enough volunteers to do everything we want to do. We will never have enough young people in the church. So why bother? Why bother with any of it? Why not just manage the decline? But Jesus doesn't argue with our maths. He doesn't say that's not enough, go and find more. He doesn't say, go away. He says, bring it. Bring all that you have. Bring it. Bring it and see what I can do with your not enough.”

#BringTheLittleYouHave
“I wonder though if Jesus is asking us the same question he asked those disciples. Looking out to the crowd that seemed impossible. What do you have? What do you have to offer? Maybe all you have is ten minutes. Bring the ten minutes. Maybe all you have is the energy to read one chapter in the bible. Bring that one chapter to God. Maybe all you have is one simple prayer that's only a sentence long. Bring the sentence to God. Because the miracle didn't begin when the disciples had enough, but when they surrendered the little that they had.”

#TrustAndGive
“Maybe all you have is ten minutes. Bring the ten minutes. Maybe all you have is the energy to read one chapter in the bible. Bring that one chapter to God. Maybe all you have is one simple prayer that's only a sentence long. Bring the sentence to God. Because the miracle didn't begin when the disciples had enough, but when they surrendered the little that they had. This isn't about finding more inside ourselves. It's about handing over what we already have and trusting God with it.”

#MiracleBeforeMiracle
“And yet, the miracle begins before Jesus multiplies any fish and bread. Because notice what he doesn't ask. Jesus doesn't ask them to solve the problem. He doesn't ask them to believe that's going to work. All he says is, bring what you have to me. Not a plan, not a solution. Bring what you have. So, just five loaves and two fish are brought and placed in his hands.”
