47s
“And in the world I live in, you measure success. There's they they call it nickels and noses. That's how you measure success. A lot of oh, that church is doing great. That means they have a lot of people, and they have a lot of money, and they have a big budget, and and all that's wonderful, and may that be in Jesus' mighty name. But when you look at the book of Acts, and you say, well, what does it look like in God's eyes for a church to be successful? And here's what I've come to the conclusion. A church is successful, and the favor of God is upon a church, not with how many people it can gather in a room, but rather how effective it is in spreading the word of God around the city, around the region, and around the world.”
84s
“Success in the eyes of God is not how many people we can gather in this building on Sundays, but success in the eyes of God is how many pastors and teachers and worship leaders and educators that we can raise up and send them out for to proclaim the gospel around the city, around the world. I don't know how, and I'm really not sure when, but I truly believe that God is turning this house into a launching pad for the kingdom of God. As we were in Barcelona, we we had a time where we met with pastors, and and I was just listening to them talk. We were in a room with five pastors and their wives, and they had all just planted churches. Many of them only two years old, one year old, but they had a strategy for how they were gonna reach their city for Jesus. And, man, that convicted me. is my strategy? What am I doing here? Am I just trying to have good Sundays? I love a good Sunday. But, man, the Lord's trying to help me, your pastor, think differently. It's gotta be much more than just having good Sundays. But we gotta have a strategy on how we're gonna change a region with the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

“And at the end of the day, the calling is that the word of God spreads rapidly. Because if you follow the story of Acts, all of the main characters eventually fade into the background. Peter is gonna fade in the background. Paul's gonna fade in the background. Barnabas is gonna fade in the background. They die. They get imprisoned. Things happen, and they're no longer on the field anymore. They're off the field. But even when they're gone, the word of God is still moving and multiplying and making a difference wherever it goes. It's about the word increasing. And may the word of God increase in our city and in our lives. Amen?”
64s
“Oh, it's not just about more blessings and having a better life and better marriage. No. No. No. No. No. No. It's a kingdom thing. It's a kingdom thing. The kingdom must grow. The word of God must prevail. And that's the last thing, Acts 19, as I'm closing here. Acts nineteen twenty. It says the word prevailed. So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevailed mightily. So it's increased, that's addition. It's multiplied. It's spread throughout a region. And now here we come in '19, or the word of is prevailing. What does that mean? It means the word was winning in that city of Ephesus. It means the word was conquering in the city of Ephesus. It means it was proving itself stronger than all its rivals.”
