#FaithInSuffering
“So when you are suffering, everybody's watching. They're wondering how you're gonna respond. With Jesus, we have an ability to walk there in it. We have an ability to not be a happy camper, but we have an ability to know that this isn't the final word. Everyone but John of the apostles died a horrible death, and they were glad to do it. What makes someone glad to die for the king? He does in the power of the holy spirit. What this world needs is the church to stand on the power of him who died for us.”

#SufferingRefines
“The cross has become a part of the Christian's life. You cannot live as a Christian without the cross being a part of your life. The next time you're having misery, the next time you're wondering if it's right, if it's Jesus speaking, it's right. If you're suffering, suffering purifies us. Suffering cleanses us. Suffering heals us. After all, it took the suffering of the living God on the cross to deliver us. If you think it's hard, think again. I've not yet suffered unto death. Oh, in my own mind and in my own heart, I thought I was dying, but nowhere near the death. Now one day, we may.”
