#BlessingsAndRefinement
“``Blessings are wonderful. I'll be the first to say, I love God's blessings. Sometimes those blessings come when I never even ask for them, and I know I don't deserve them, and yet they rain upon my life in due time just in time. Praise God for it. God uses blessings to mold us into vessels of worship and thanksgiving with praises overflowing from our hearts, but God uses suffering to mold us into the image of his son.”

#SufferingShapesUs
“When we go through suffering, it's God's way of humbling our hearts before him. And one suffering at a time is another layer of heath that has been stripped away. One more layer of Carl that needs to be done away with. One more piece of Amy that God wants to do away with. That's why we suffer. It's in the blessings I become more and more thankful, but it's in the suffering that I become more like Jesus. Amen. And if that's the father's great design for all of us, to mold us into his son, should we or should we not expect suffering? That's definitely not man's way, but it is God's way, and it's the life that we are called to. Amen? Amen.”

#WeCantFathomHisSuffering
“Can you ever truly know someone else's suffering? No. You may be able to relate to some things. You can say, oh, that happened to me too. But can you actually know the depths of another person's suffering? Probably not. Well, how much more Jesus? We will never fathom the depths of the suffering he endured upon that cross. The son of man suffer.”

#SonOfManMustSuffer
“Speaking of this great son of man, Jesus says, the son of man suffer. Consider that. The son of man must suffer. The cross was always before him. It was always his purpose in coming into the world. Jesus says, no one has ever ascended into heaven but the son of man who has come down from heaven. And when he came, he came to suffer and to die for his people.”

#ProphecyFulfilledAtCross
“Now in the scriptures, we are never ever told that in following Jesus, we're never told to expect monetary riches. We're never told to expect success in everything that we do or to expect perfect health. And we're certainly not told to expect to remain the same. But over and over again, we are told for those who follow Jesus to expect suffering.”

#TakeUpYourCross
“That was the worst message I've ever heard spoken to a church. Jesus has never been plan b. Amen. Jesus is the plan, the only plan that's ever been in the mind of God. Amen? In fact, the Bible says that Jesus Christ is the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. Yes. In other words, before God made anything.”

#SonOfManDominion
“And, you know, when I think of those words and consider what Jesus said when and and what he did, when I read the words, the son of man must suffer, to me, that means Jesus will not fail. He will not. He will not shy away from the cross. He will not say, my will, not yours be done. He will not fail. And the father knew he would not fail. This is why God could speak all throughout the old testament in details what Jesus would say, what he would do, what things would be like, and he knew that there would be a cross and his son would die upon that cross. He could prophesy and say, this shall happen because he knew when the son comes into the world, he will not fail. He will not shrink shrink in fear and back away. Jesus never fails.”

#DarknessAtTheCross
“It wasn't in the days of Jesus, and it's not today either. It's not a glamorous life. In fact, show me someone who calls himself a Christian and uses their Christianity to live a glamorous life and to have wealth and riches and popularity. Show me that one who calls himself a Christian and is loved by the world. Show me that one and I will show you someone who's probably not a Christian. It calls for submission to the lordship of Christ. It is to deny ourselves, take up the cross, and follow him.”
