God’s purpose places Him at the center of human existence. Colossians declares that all things were created through Christ, for Christ, and held together in Him. Human life falls apart when people try to hold together what only God was meant to hold together. God’s pleasure does not mean that people are His playthings, like a kid with a magnifying glass over an anthill. How do you ever have internal peace when you use your mouth to praise Jesus on Sunday but curse at others at work on Monday? Like, how how does that work? My point is that we need consistency in how we love and honor God with every facet of our being, doing whatever we do to the glory of God. No matter where you find yourself, this command is not situational.”
