The men of Jericho told Elisha their water poisoned the land. He called for a new bowl, threw salt into the spring, and declared healing. The waters purified. Barrenness broke. God’s word through Elisha rewrote Jericho’s story. [15:42]
Elisha didn’t negotiate with the problem. He obeyed God’s strange instruction. Salt symbolized covenant. The new bowl represented fresh authority. Jesus said you are salt—your obedience releases God’s preserving, flavoring power where decay reigns.
Your words carry covenant weight. Stop rehearsing the poison in your relationships or finances. Declare healing where others see ruin. What barren place have you accepted as permanent?
“He went out to the spring, threw the salt in it, and said, ‘This is what the Lord says: “I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.”’”
(2 Kings 2:21, NIV)
Prayer: Ask God to show you one situation needing covenant declaration.
Challenge: Write Psalm 107:20 on a card. Read it aloud over that area 3x today.
Ezekiel stood in a valley of sun-bleached bones. God told him to prophesy breath into the lifeless heap. As he spoke, tendons formed. Flesh covered skeletons. Wind roared from four corners—a slain army resurrected. [53:55]
Dry bones symbolize dead hopes. Breath (ruach) means Spirit, wind, life-force. Jesus breathed on disciples saying, “Receive the Spirit.” Your obedience releases His ruach into situations others call graves.
Many nurse dead dreams—abandoned callings, buried marriages. Prophesy to these bones. Command alignment with God’s promise. What valley have you avoided because it smells of death?
“I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
(Ezekiel 37:6, NIV)
Prayer: Confess areas where you’ve agreed with death’s finality.
Challenge: Identify one “dead” area. Speak “LIVE!” over it 7x today.
Job’s friend Elihu declared, “The breath of the Almighty gives understanding.” Paul told Timothy Scripture is “God-breathed.” At creation, God’s ruach hovered over chaos. His breath in you decodes mysteries. [28:13]
Dry theology kills. Revelation breathes life into texts. The Pharisees had Bible knowledge without ruach—they missed Messiah. Jesus opened disciples’ minds to understand Scriptures. Your spirit tutors your intellect.
Are you reading the Word mechanically? Stop. Ask for ruach to animate familiar passages. When did Scripture last shift from ink to invasion?
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
(2 Timothy 3:16, NIV)
Prayer: Open your Bible. Whisper “Breathe on this” before reading.
Challenge: Underline every “Spirit” reference in John 14-16. Note patterns.
God rebuked Israel’s showy fasting while oppressing workers. True fasting? Sharing bread with hungry. Covering naked. Breaking yokes. Then, Isaiah promised: “Your light will break forth like dawn.” [01:20:46]
Fasting isn’t hunger games. It’s resetting appetites. Jesus fasted to break Satan’s lies. Your denial creates space for others’ deliverance. Abstain from gossip to free a slandered brother. Skip meals to feed orphans.
What chains exist because you indulge your rights? Where can your “no” become someone else’s “yes”?
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice?”
(Isaiah 58:6, NIV)
Prayer: List 3 comforts you cling to. Offer one for others’ liberation.
Challenge: Donate the cost of today’s lunch to a feeding program.
Adam named animals—not labeling, but releasing their purpose. Lions roared. Eagles soared. His words activated their design. Jesus renamed Simon “Peter”—shifting him from spectator to foundation-layer. [36:07]
Naming isn’t passive. It’s co-creating with God. Call your anxiety “Peace.” Address lack as “Provision.” Rebuke cancer as “Healed.” Demons flee when you use Christ-given authority to rename realities.
What have you mislabeled as permanent that God calls temporary? How would Jesus rename your crisis?
“Whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.”
(Genesis 2:19, NIV)
Prayer: Ask Jesus for one word to rename a struggle.
Challenge: Write the new name on your mirror. Declare it morning/night.
God places a creative word in human mouths and intends for people to use it to build new realities. Obedience unlocks that authority; when a life lines up with God’s instructions, divine words become tools to shift water, land, nations, businesses, and families. The Old Testament examples show a pattern: Elisha spoke and salt plus proclamation healed Jericho’s water. Adam received breath and God’s mandate to activate life in creation. Ezekiel received instructions to prophesy to mountains and to dry bones, and the prophetic word brought restoration, movement, and resurrection where human logic saw only ruin.
The breath of the Almighty gives understanding and powers the spoken word. When God’s breath meets an obedient understanding, scriptures and promises come alive and change circumstances that were previously inert. This operation requires more than rhetoric; it demands implicit obedience, consistent meditation, prayerful fasting, and the refusal to speak one’s own limiting words. Righteous action and mercy toward others form the spiritual soil in which promises sprout; God honors practical justice and sacrificial care alongside proclamation.
Restoration appears both personal and national. Nations, cities, and broken institutions respond to spiritual engagement when people proclaim God’s word with faith. The text foresees a season of reclamation: lost resources, ruined estates, stalled careers, and dead initiatives will revive when people take up prophetic speech and steady obedience. The season requires courage to declare destiny, to reject cursed patterns, and to adopt God’s timing rather than human urgency. As the creative word is repeated and embodied, life rearranges time and fruitfulness follows; labor becomes ordered, resources align, and the heavens over a life shift from scarcity to abundance.
Practical next steps center on learning to carry and speak God’s word, practicing the fast God chooses, pursuing justice and mercy, and relinquishing personal narratives that contradict destiny. Those who receive and obey the creative word will experience measurable change, revived enterprises, and a transformed environment that demonstrates God’s power and intention.
``In order to create your own word, your own environment, and in order to create a new existence for yourself, a new atmosphere, you must obey the word of God implicitly as you are commanded. There's no two way about it. That's the only way to experience the days of heaven on earth. The word is in your mouth, is in the mouth of your children. You are going to meditate in it day and night. You are going to be speaking it forth until you see everything come into shape and into alignment with that word in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

#ObeyTheWord
People of God, not only can you compel your ground to produce by your obedience to the word of God, But God Almighty can also put his creative word in your mouth and you create an environment that never existed before. You can create your own world, you can create your own environment, you can create your own atmosphere and change the condition of the land as Elisha did in Jericho.

You will create atmosphere of miracles in your house. The sick will step in there and will be well. Several years ago, I traveled, my daughter Olugumi was ill and turned to the mother and said, open my dad's bedroom. I want to go and sleep on his bed. And she went into my room, slept on my bed and she was healed. I came back and said, Bumi, why did you ask mom to open my room? She said, dad, I've heard you seen you pray in that room. I know there is power there.
