#LiftedUpSaves
“``The passage read in John three, Jesus reveals that he is the answer to the type in verse fourteen and fifteen. As Moses lift up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lifted up that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Look to Jesus and live. He is the fulfillment of the type. He's the anti type. Those who look to Jesus, he protects from the floodwaters of condemnation. Romans eight one states, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

#EmmanuelWithUs
“As the priest stood there, the people with their children, their livestock went past the priests and past the ark. As long as the ark was in the Jordan, the people were safe. Safe from the floodwaters of the Jordan. Because the ark was a visible representation of the presence of god, they knew that it was god that protected and preserved them from the floodwaters. Jesus is the one who completely fulfills that which the ark represents. The ark represented god dwelling with his people and Jesus is Emmanuel which means God with us.”

#SanctifyBeforeMiracles
“So God required of Israel that they be sanctified before he would perform this miracle and make a way for them. Whatever it took them to to be clean, that is what he required of them before god would work. Do you do you expect god to work while we ignore him? While we have sin on our hands, in our hearts. That's nonsense. We can't expect God to work in our lives. We can't expect God to do something amazing in our life. We can't expect God to do miracles in our life if we are not willing to deal with sin in our lives. If we're not willing to cleanse ourselves, to sanctify ourselves.”

#ObeyAndTrust
“We find in this passage simple commands, keep your eyes on the ark, follow it, obey god, and for the priest to carry the ark and go stand in the Jordan. The moment they obeyed, they could consider it done. Did they see the results right away? Just like that song we were singing earlier. You don't always see god working, do you? They didn't see the results right away. No. But god that didn't mean that god was not working or that he hadn't already provided a way for them to cross over. I don't know what exactly happened. We're not told exactly what happened, but we do know certain things for sure. Now, it would take time for that water to drain out of the river but notice they didn't trudge through a marshy swamp. Doesn't say that, does it? They crossed over on dry ground.”
