And praying for God's clarity, praying that God would, through the Holy Spirit, illuminate specific scriptures that I need to submit myself to, praying for God's help in the whole process, praying for the heart of the other person that the Holy Spirit would prepare it to be receptive, and, again, with the goal that God is honored in the whole circumstance and not me. “Many times it's because I have these expectations. Mhmm. And expectations just like desires in and of themselves may not be bad or unbiblical, but when I elevate those from being a desire or being an expectation to being a demand. Mhmm. Or I say, because it's my expectation and I'm self focused, that expectation is right, and it must be met by others. That is a rich ground for conflict. And, in fact, it's almost guaranteed that it's gonna happen.”
