#GodIsCertain
“``Our conscience might say to us, you can't be certain that you belong to him. I don't know if I'm saved. John says, you don't feel like you're saved, when you don't feel like you know if you're saved, trust in the one who knows. So there might be uncertainty in us, but there is never uncertainty in God.”

#KeepBelievingJesus
“``John's saying, when your heart condemns, keep on believing in Jesus. Keep on trusting in the son of God who died and rose again for the forgiveness of your sins. Keep on believing in the one through whom there is now no condemnation.”
26s
#TrustJesusWork
“``Whose work am I trusting in for the forgiveness of my sins? Am I trusting in the tarnished performance as a person who still sometimes sins for my salvation or am I trusting in the performance of Jesus who never sinned and died and rose again so I could have the forgiveness of my sins? Set my eyes on the savior.”

#GodKnowsYourHeart
“``Christians, when our conscience condemns leading to an incorrect evaluation of ourselves, John's like, remember God, trust in him. He's greater than your heart. He knows all things. You might have an unsettled confidence about your salvation feeling condemned, but God knows there is now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus.”

#TrustGodNotEmotions
“``You and I do not overcome doubt about our salvation by relying on fluctuating emotions or conjuring feelings of worthiness. We overcome doubt by trusting in God who knows all things, trusting in the son who died and rose again, and trusting in the spirit who lives within. Hang on to these. You're gonna need these truths till the day you take that final breath.”

#CureIsGodNotConscience
“``In his great wisdom, he knows that sometimes our hearts will condemn. And the cure to our condemning conscience is not trusting in our conscience. It's not trusting in our hearts. It's not trusting in our feelings. He's saying the cure for our condemning conscience is to trust in God who knows we are his, trust in God the son who died and rose again, and trust in the fruit of the spirit who lives within.”
27s
#LookToGodNotFlesh
“``I want you to see how God in his wisdom wrote this letter through John. When when John wrote it, he's basically saying, stop looking at the one work of flesh in your life and allowing your conscience to condemn you, and rather look to God who knows all things, believe in Jesus for your salvation, and look at the fruit of the spirit that has and is producing fruit in your life.”
29s
#FruitNotPerfection
“``John's saying, man, he's telling us, don't look back over your life since you profess Christ and look for perfect sinless living as the proof of your salvation. He's saying, look back over your life since you professed Christ. Though there sometimes is gonna be sin, look for the godly fruit that is proof of your salvation. This fruit is evidence that the spirit abides in you and he only abides in Christians.”
