37s
“It is not true. You will not always be like this. You will not always be selfish in your relationships. You you will not always be a jerk to the people that you care about. You will not always be addicted to that thing that has you hooked. You you will not always be better holding on to that grudge. You will not always hate yourself. Isn't that good news? You will not always be trapped by fear and anxiety. You'll be free. Jesus is changing you. That's the promise of the gospel.”
28s
“The key is Jesus because Jesus is the place where truth and love meet perfectly. Jesus knows everything about you. There is nothing hidden from him. He knows it all, and he does not run away. He runs towards you. He is for you completely and totally, and nothing is hidden from him. Truth and love meet in him, and his grace is the foundation of honest community.”
21s
“You do not have to become a good person to get the gift of salvation. You don't need to become a good person. In fact, the only way you receive it is by admitting you're not a good person, that you need help. But once you open up the gift, you will find that becoming like Jesus was the goal the whole time.”
