#UnityThroughCommunion
“Yet at the same time, this vertical relationship, it impacts our horizontal relationships. It impacts the relationship that you have with your spouse. It impacts the relationship that you have with your kids. It impacts the relationship that you have with your coworkers, with the people in our neighborhood, with every single human being that has ever been created by the creator. can't be unified to Christ without spirit leading us to shine this light to others. And that is why communion communicates unity, not just with the bread and wine and the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Communion not only communicates unity between you and God, but communion communicates unity with the other people that are receiving this meal.”

#SeeOthersWithGrace
“May we see these individuals not as the enemy. May we see our spouses, one that is not but one that is worthy of your love and and work at the relationship. May we see our kids not as a problem to be solved, but as children loved by you. May we see others not only as a project to be fixed, but as followers of Jesus. Lord, we know that this is not gonna take place by our own power or strength, and so we come to your table receiving your forgiveness, receiving your holy spirit to do what we are unable to do by ourselves.”

#ForgivenByCommunion
“So when you gather together, together, every single time you center yourself around this gift, what does the apostle Paul say? You proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. So why is holy communion the solution, if you will, to this relational mess that the people are experiencing? Because communion communicates unity. Communion communicates unity not only with the bread and wine and the body and blood of Jesus, but communion communicates the unity between you and God. Again, this vertical relationship where at one time, we were a mess and we were dead in our sin. God comes to you and gives you this gift of pure grace that you can taste with your lips. You receive it in your very body. Your sins are forgiven. You don't need to worry about if I've done enough. It is extranos, which is Latin for outside of ourselves. It comes outside of ourselves, but given to us by God so that you would be assured that your sins are forgiven. So when you leave this place, you do not need to worry. You are right with the Lord because he's done all the work and he established this this relationship and unity with you.”

#ComeToTheTable
“``So when sin wants to divide, what do you do? Come to the table. Not as somebody somebody that's that's perfect, perfect, but as a person that is repentant, recognizing sin. As a person says, Lord, I don't deserve your love, but I trust your word. Your word that says, when I come to the altar and I have faith that you are giving me forgiveness of sins, that is actually what I am receiving. And I recognize, Lord, that when I receive this meal and and I have a a unification with you, I am also united with those that I'm sharing this meal with. And, Lord, I desire to to reflect your love and your grace and your forgiveness.”
