#JesusIsNear
“``Sometimes, we can get so absorbed, entrenched in the storm, in our trials, in our difficulties that we do just like the disciples. We fail to see that Jesus is close by. Verses 25 to 27, you see the savior responds. Jesus been up in that mountain praying. Even though he wasn't with them physically, he saw what was happening to them. He saw their dilemma And what did he do? Because he loves them, he goes to them. There's a lesson.”

#JesusSeesYou
“Do you ever do you ever tempted to wonder, Jesus, have you forgotten me? Jesus, do you not see what I'm going through? If you're ever tempted to think that scripture here assures you, he has not. He sees your struggles, and he is near to you. He's our only hope in the storms. Those disciples had no way of knowing if they were gonna survive, but Jesus was there to rescue them.”

#TakeHeartJesus
“I want you to notice how quickly Jesus dissuades their fear. He says, immediately, he sees their fear. He says, take harder. I like the translation. It says, have courage. Are you gonna have courage in the trial of your life? Jesus said, take courage. Take heart. He says, it is I, Jesus. Do not be afraid. So in your trial, in your difficulty, in your trouble, the same words apply to you. Take courage. Take heart. Jesus is there. Do not be afraid.”

#CryOutInFaith
“We can be distracted by what the crowd says. He was frightened. He began to sink and he cried out, lord, please save me And that's when Jesus does what Jesus does. He saves him. He saves people who cry out to him in faith just as Peter did. Peter knew that he was gonna drown and the only way he was gonna be saved from that death would be to cry out to Jesus to save him and that's just what happened. Jesus did.”

#EyesOnJesus
“Just as Jesus saved Peter from drowning, so he saves anyone from eternal damnation in hell by people who will call upon him, trust in him as savior. There's another truth here. What about me and you? As believers, can we get distracted by the storms of our life? Yeah. We can. Listen. You're gonna be in storms, but don't be distracted by anything, but keep your eyes focused on Jesus. Never, never give up on Jesus.”

#SpotSpiritualDistraction
“How do we know that we're distracted? Good question, isn't it? We're distracted when our prayer life dwindles to nothing. We're distracted when our desire to study god's word and see what he has for us to learn today when that just goes away. We're distracted when we trust in the guidance of other people and advice of other people rather than what god's word says to us.”

#FaithfulnessMatters
“Despite the storm, despite the struggles that we have, we must always understand god is in control. Nothing catches him off guard. Nothing surprises him and that he loves you and that he is faithful to you and he's faithful for you. Remember, it's not about the size of your faith. Thank goodness. Thank you lord. It is about your faithfulness which is limitless.”

#WorshipTheSavior
“When people encounter Jesus, when they see him for who he is, the almighty god, the one who created and sustains this world, the natural response is to worship him. And that's what the disciples did in the boat. They worshiped him as lord and savior. The words of those disciples in that boat after fearing for their lives, they are significant. They are a great testimony. They said, truly, you are the son of god.”
