Day 1: The Spirit Pulls Us Out of Self-Centeredness

When we live by the flesh, we become trapped in cycles of ego and isolation. Paul’s letter to the Romans contrasts self-centeredness with life in the Spirit—a life oriented outward. Like a camp counselor learning to focus on others, the Spirit interrupts our inward spiral. This transformation isn’t about moral perfection but reorientation toward Christ’s self-giving love.
