#VoiceInTheStorm
“``When the storm becomes so overwhelming that all I can see is the storm, then I stop listening for the voice and I start hearing the storm. But if I can reorient my spirit to recognize there's a storm. But out of the storm comes a voice. Then in the middle of the storm, I can rehear the voice and what the voice of the Lord is saying to me.”

#FaithInGodNotMan
“Do not put your faith in me. Trust me in this. Don't put your faith in Pastor. Do not put your faith in Pastor. There's one person you should put your faith in, man. That's in God. That's in Jesus. Now, I know that's two, but they're one. We all know that in the Holy Spirit. That's three. But what I'm trying to say is simply this, guys, faith is not the last resort. Faith is not the. Well, I've done everything. I might as well pray. No, that is our anchor. That's what keeps us here. That's what gives us what we have and keeps it what we have. It's what we can anchor our life to.”

#LetHolySpiritSpeak
“Because it's okay to look at God sometimes and say, God, why? And then just let God speak. It's okay to look at God and say, God, I'm frustrated right now. It's okay. Just let God speak. Let the Holy Spirit do what the Holy Spirit does best and comfort, bring wisdom, bring guidance. Let the Holy Spirit have room in your life. Don't be afraid to go. God, I've never been in such a dark place before. Because guess what? He can now shine his light into that dark place.”

#HolySpiritRealInGrief
“And so it was comforting that when I lost my mom, even today, I still tear up. I still cry. I miss her incredibly. But when I lost my mom, the Holy Spirit became real that day. Yes, I've talked in tongues, and yes, I've had a relationship with God before then. But that's when the Holy Spirit became real in my life. That comfort, that peace, when I should be absolutely freaking out, but I'm not. Because I put my faith in God and I said, God, your thoughts are higher than my ways. Your thoughts are higher than my thought. Your ways are higher than my ways. And that's exactly what I'm going to do.”

#EmotionsOkayWithGod
“I've never been in a darker place. That's okay. Because guess what? The God that we serve is a God of light. And he can shine in that darkness brighter than anything in this world. And that's okay. It's okay to be there. It's okay to say those things. David would. Would scream and yell at God. If you read the Psalms, you would think David was bipolar, right? He would go from God, I love you. There's nothing better than you to God, where are you? Why am I stuck in this cave? Right? Would he not. It's okay to show your emotions to God. Guess what? God gave you those emotions. And if. If you don't think that God can handle something he gave you, then you. You need to learn who you serve.”

#HopeAfterAttacks
“So it seems like it's been attack after attack after attack. It's okay, because guess what? The sun's going to come up tomorrow. And guess what? Tomorrow can be a better day. And guess what? God is still God, and God is still on the throne. And guess what? If he can do it for you or if he can do it for me, he can do it for you.”

#HolySpiritComfortAndGuide
“Knowing that his thoughts are higher than my thoughts and his ways are higher than my ways is comforting. And the fact that he sent the Holy Spirit to do what? Comfort do we realize that that's the Holy Spirit's job is not. Not just to give us goosebumps and talk and speak in a different language. It's to comfort us. It's to guide us. It's to strengthen us. Right? That is what the Holy Spirit is. The gifts of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, meekness. Right? All those things. And that's comforting to know that no matter what, God has provided us something in every situation.”

#FaithAnchorsThroughTrials
“And so I tell my kids all the time, you know, you can't have it perfect. You got to take the good with the bad. And so you can't say, God, you. Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts and your ways higher than my ways. And I'm going to follow you, and my life is yours. And then the first time that trials and troubles come and hit you, you start going, well, never mind. I take that back. Because now I'm going to do it my way. But we. We kind of do that sometimes, don't we? And so I've been there and I've done that, and I've realized that when I put my faith in God, my full, whole faith in God, that's the best place that I could be. And so scripture. Scripture is like, God is on the throne and God is God. And at the end of the day, no matter what, he is still on the throne. Amen. That's comforting.”
