Application questions- Where is the strongest temptation right now to manage appearance instead of dealing honestly with the heart—online, at work, with family, in friendships, or in church life? What does that image-management usually look like? [34:23]
- Jesus names greed and self-indulgence as inner problems that can hide behind a clean outside. In what areas of life do those sins tend to disguise themselves as normal, respectable, or even successful? [21:01]
- The heart can produce envy, pride, deceit, slander, and foolishness. Which of those sins is easiest to excuse personally, and what usually brings it out? [32:54]
- God’s divine power gives what is needed for life and godliness through the knowledge of Christ. What would it look like this week to seek Christ himself instead of trying to improve behavior by sheer willpower? [41:38]
- Growth in virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love does not happen by accident. Which one of those areas needs the most attention right now, and what is one simple step that could help it grow? [45:20]
- Brothers and sisters in Christ can help expose blind spots and encourage real growth. Who has enough access to speak honestly into life right now, and if no one does, what might need to change? [45:36]
