#HopeInGod
“Our world is thirsty for meaning and hope. And meaning and hope that will not come from politicians or the government, from entertainers or social media influencers. Meaning and hope comes from the creator of all that is, the one who raised Jesus from the dead and sent his spirit to enlighten and strengthen you and me in faith. To the holy trinity, we turn for meaning and hope in this world. The church's living mission is the mission of Christ. The message and witness of the apostles contained in the New Testament is the very message of Jesus himself. He is the living word that he gave them and that they in turn passed on to others through the centuries right until today. And pastors through the ages have shared that message of life eagerly for the people to receive it gladly, to discern it sincerely, to obey it seriously, and to allow it to inform and guide their lives.”

#ChristianHospitality
“It's what the Christian life is all about. Being in communion with the living lord who first sent the apostles into this mission. And the message of the Bible is everything. It is the apostles handing down Jesus himself, and so it is with us. Just another link in a long chain of Christ followers being attentive to the word and sharing its impact in our lives with all who will listen. And for the people who heed that message, that message of the apostles, They become themselves a member of the apostolic church passing on that message again still to others who are willing to listen and be transformed by its power. It's important for us, each one of us, to make friends both inside and outside the church. Friendship after all opens up doors to both a genuine relationship and when appropriate and needed to sharing the hope that is within us. That's what Christian hospitality is all about.”

#MeansOfGrace
“The apostolic witness is a treasure not to be hoarded, but to be shared with all of those that we meet. The church gathered around the means of grace, god's holy word and blessed sacraments of holy baptism and sacred meal is to be and to become the people and the place of welcome and hospitality so that all may know the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. This is our identity and our destiny as a church of believers. Jesus believes when people accept him, they accept God. An uncomplicated direct line from Jesus to God of his father. You and I can know God by knowing Jesus.”
