“That is how when we consider Peter to be the rock or the foundation of the church, he is the foundation but not the leader of the church. We are the church. This is where Romans 12 comes in. Each church needs people who are willing to share their time, talent, and resources with the community.”

“I've asked myself many times, why Peter? Wasn't this the same Peter that a few weeks ago, Peter sunk like a rock into the water? And Jesus said to him, you of little faith. And then we come to this week when Jesus says, Peter, you shall be the foundation of the church. And I was taught that the name Peter means rock and Jesus wanted a ministry he that he started to continue and Peter would be the guiding force that would continue the ministry of Jesus Christ.”
