43s
“The one thing that connects all of these disparate parts together, connecting them not just in a building, but also in reason. We provide not just space, but a reason behind the work of the arms and the legs and the hands and the feet. Nowhere else does a community like this exist where we not only partner together because we know it's the right thing to do, but because we have a faith that tells us and shows us that we need to be the torso. We have action, and here, we have prayer. We have a thing to do, a reason to do it, and people to do it with.”
38s
“That's why we need to be the torso. That's why it is important for First Baptist Church of Denver to exist in the year of our lord 2026, because the world needs a torso to connect all of the arms and legs and the hands and the feets together. That's what our faith calls us to do. That's the example that Christ has set for us. That's the calling of Paul to the church at Corinth and all of the churches that follow that you are called to be the torso.”
30s
“We have action, and here, we have prayer. We have a thing to do, a reason to do it, and people to do it with. With this community, with this torso, with this body, we can do anything, even the hard things, because of the people around us and in us and through us. That is why hard things can be easy peasy.”
