44s
“``God did not create separate bodies for the separate races, but one body. That one body is the church. Ephesians one twenty two and twenty three. So, one church established by one savior for all people. No matter where they're from, no matter what they look like, no matter how rich or how poor. One body, one church, established by one savior for all people.”

“The church does not erase every earthly distinction. There are rich and poor in the body of Christ. There are different politics within the body of Christ. There are different races within the body of Christ. What the church does do is it makes every earthly distinction secondary. In reality, those things are no longer important. We have been united in one body. You're all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians three twenty six to 28.”

“What's the basis of that hope being living or lively? The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Not only do we have the hope of overcoming death, there is an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and it does not fade away, and it is reserved in heaven for you. Have we made our reservation? Is our name on the list? Do we have our appointment made? Our hope is living because Christ is living. He's not dead and in a grave somewhere. He's at the right hand of god's throne.”
69s
“Restoration is the goal. The word restore carries with it the idea of making something right again. The second thing, spiritual people must do the restoring. You which are spiritual restore such an one. This is not for the proud or harsh or the self righteous, but for the humble. We must consider ourselves lest we also be tempted. And so the church provides for restoration through personal confrontation. Now is confrontation comfortable? How many of us enjoy that? Probably say not very many. But that's what Matthew 18 teaches us.”
