#ChurchStillStands
“``But the church still stands. if Jesus can conquer death itself, he can handle a pastoral transition. Jesus is still on the throne. His word still stands. His spirit still moves. His gospel still saves, and the church still belongs to him. The preacher may change, but Jesus doesn't change. The voice behind the pulpit may change, but Jesus doesn't change. The face at the front of the sanctuary may change, but Jesus doesn't change.”

#HoldOnToJesus
“Seasons change. Leaders change. Methods change. But Paul said he that begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ so Jesus don't change. You don't stop reading a book in the middle of it because the chapter title changes. You keep reading because you trust that the author knows exactly where the story is headed. And church, this is just a chapter break. It's not the last page. So hold on to each other. Hold on to the word of God. Hold on to prayer, and most of all, on to Jesus because he has never once let you go, and he's not about to do it”

#JesusBuildsTheChurch
“Jesus makes a promise right there that is still holding the church together two thousand years later. He says, upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. He doesn't say, I'll build Peter's church. He doesn't say, I'll build the disciples' church. He says, I will build my church. My church. Not Peter's ministry, not a committee's project, not one man's legacy. The church has always belonged to Jesus from that day to right now to us sitting in the seats right now.”

#GoodShepherdAlways
“And so we gotta realize that the shepherd has never left. John 10, Jesus calls himself the good shepherd, Not a good shepherd like like he's one of the options, the good shepherd. And and you've had a under shepherd walking with you these last seven years, and and I've tried to be that for you. But the chief shepherd never leaves his flat. He never sleeps. He never retires. He never resigns. He never leaves. He never dies, not even for one moment.”
