#BaptismNotSalvation
“Baptism is an essential part of being a believer. It doesn't make you a Christian, this water, I don't have any water in here today but this water, if we had water in there, is good old Arlington water. We pay $80 a month for the privilege of that water. It has no holy properties. In fact, you're gonna drink that water today. And if you think it's holy, I guess you'll walk away more holy today. But it's not holy. It's water. It doesn't save. It doesn't wash anybody's sins away. The only only sins that get washed away are the sins washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.”

#CrucifiedWithChrist
“See, when Christ died, when you believed in Jesus Christ, his death became your death. That's a beautiful truth. And what you were before you met Christ, you are no longer the old man was crucified with Christ. It's a death that's already taken place. It's not something people say, well, I gotta put to death the old man every day. Now, Paul does say I die daily, but I don't believe that's Paul saying, I've gotta crucify this old man. And in those Paul reckoning that to be true. He is dead. And what is baptism? Well, Paul writes it here. Therefore, verse four, we are buried with him by what? Baptism into death.”

#BaptismDeclaration
“Baptism? Baptism is not an act by which God gives us grace in return for our act of submitting to baptism. No. Baptism is a public burial of the already dead. Go to Romans chapter six. This is awesome. In obedience to Jesus Christ, in obedience to his word, the act of baptism is a declaration of something that's already taken place. Paul writes what shall we say then verse one shall we continue in sin that grace may abound. Remember their sins which are the acts and sin which is the nature. Paul says if we're saved should we continue living in the old nature? Should we continue living in sin? No. In the strongest of terms Paul says what? God forbid. That's not your life anymore.”

#JoySetBeforeChrist
“Jesus Christ as he hung on the cross. I want you to ponder this just for a moment as he hung on the cross as he endured all that he endured the bible says he did so for the joy that was what? Set before him. He sought the omniscient God as he hung there. As his humanity was crucified on the cross. The omniscient savior looked ahead and saw every soul that would be rescued from eternity in hell and it brought him joy.”
