Christmas is not just a holiday; it’s a holy day that recenters your heart on Jesus. In this season, the Holy Spirit delights to open your eyes, giving fresh revelation of who Jesus is and why he came. As you see him more clearly, your purpose sharpens: to witness to his love, welcome people from every background, and shine with his presence. Let this week be about beholding him so that the world can behold him through you. Ask for new sight, and expect him to answer. He loves to make Jesus big in your life. [35:26]
Luke 2:25–32 — In Jerusalem lived Simeon, a righteous and devout man who longed for Israel’s comfort. The Holy Spirit rested upon him and had shown him he would not die before seeing the Messiah. Led by the Spirit into the temple, he took the infant Jesus in his arms and thanked God, saying his eyes had finally seen God’s rescue—a light for all peoples and the honor of Israel.
Reflection: What would treating this week as a holy day look like in your calendar—what one practice will you add or remove to create room to see Jesus?
Simeon stepped into the right place at the right time because the Spirit led him. That same Spirit lives in you to guide your steps, align your appointments, and place you where grace is needed. Learning his voice is a daily practice, not a rare event. As you slow down and listen, you will find yourself doing the right things with the right people for the right reasons. And in those moments, Jesus becomes visible through your life. [40:57]
Luke 2:25,27 — A devout man carried the hope of Israel in his heart, and the Holy Spirit rested on him. The Spirit prompted him to enter the temple at the exact moment the child Jesus was brought in.
Reflection: How will you make space today to listen for the Spirit’s nudge, and what meeting or decision will you hold with open hands so he can redirect you if needed?
Jesus holds all authority—not only in heaven but here on earth. His rule reaches into sickness, bondage, guilt, family fractures, and nations in turmoil. It takes revelation to trust this, yet the Spirit gladly strengthens that trust. Invite Jesus to exercise his authority in the very places that feel most stubborn or impossible. Then watch for his power to heal, deliver, forgive, and restore. [45:27]
Matthew 28:18–20 — After rising from the dead, Jesus announced that every realm—heavenly and earthly—has yielded authority to him. He commissioned his followers to go and make disciples among all peoples, marking them through baptism and teaching them his ways, while assuring them of his steady presence to the very end.
Reflection: Where do you find it hardest to believe Jesus’ authority on earth right now, and what one prayer and one concrete act of obedience will you take this week in that area?
Jesus is cleansing and empowering his people. When you confess your sins, he faithfully forgives and lifts the heavy sense of unworthiness that whispers, “something is wrong with me.” You don’t have to earn your way to God—his love gives righteousness as a gift, not as wages earned over a thousand lifetimes. By his Spirit, he strengthens you to push off depression, resist the enemy, and live free. Let him wash you, and then stand up in the power he provides. [46:37]
1 John 1:9 — If we bring our sins into the light, God can be trusted to forgive us and to scrub away every stain of wrong, making us clean.
Reflection: What accusing thought has been weighing you down this week, and how will you answer it today with confession and the truth that Christ has made you righteous?
Jesus looks at the crowds with compassion, seeing people led by the loudest voices. After he cleanses and empowers, he sends his people to love, speak good news, and help others find true guidance. Pray for laborers, and be ready to be the answer to that prayer. Go to neighbors and nations, across cultures and languages, carrying his message, power, and love. This is how the world is saved—through ordinary people made radiant by Jesus. [50:55]
Matthew 9:36–38 — When Jesus saw the crowds worn out and wandering like sheep with no one to care for them, his heart was moved. He said the harvest is vast but the workers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to push out laborers into his fields.
Reflection: Who are one neighbor and one coworker or classmate you feel compassion for right now, and what simple step—prayer, invitation, or practical help—will you take toward them in the next 48 hours?
Christmas is only days away, and I’m asking the Lord to let these days be holy days—days where our eyes open wider to Jesus. Luke 2 shows us Simeon, a just and devout man, led by the Holy Spirit into the temple at the precise moment Mary and Joseph bring in the infant Christ. He had been promised he wouldn’t die before seeing the Messiah, and the Spirit made good on that promise. That’s not just a beautiful scene; it’s a picture of how the Holy Spirit wants to lead us—into the right places at the right times so that we see Jesus clearly and help others see Him too.
Christmas realigns our purpose. Once we belong to Jesus, our life becomes about Him—His heart to save people and to redeem the world He made. The earth is the Lord’s, and He sent His Son not merely to secure our future in heaven, but to bring heaven’s authority to earth. The Spirit wants to reveal three things: who Jesus is, what He has, and what He is doing now.
Who He is: not a vague teacher, but the Christ, the Son of the living God. What He has: all authority in heaven and on earth. That means real power to heal, forgive, restore, and set things right in our homes, bodies, neighborhoods, and nations. What He is doing: He’s cleansing us—washing away not only our sins, but also the shadowy sense of unworthiness that whispers God will bless everyone but us. He’s empowering us—so we don’t buckle under despair or the devil’s divisions. And He’s sending us—into a world of wandering sheep, to be laborers who carry His love, truth, and power where the voices of the age are leading people astray.
This Christmas, ask for fresh revelation: more of who Jesus is, more confidence in what He carries, and a sharper sense of His present work in and through you. Across our differences—races, languages, stories—He’s knitting us together as a people who shine. May these holy days become training grounds: cleansed, empowered, and sent, we follow the Spirit’s lead and let the world see Jesus.
Christmas reminds us why we do the things that we do. Why do we witness? Why do we tell people about the love of God? Why do we invite people to come and join our church family? People of different colors and different backgrounds and different languages. Why do we lay hands on the sick and see them healed? Why do we preach the presence of the Holy Spirit? Why do we do the things that we do? Well, Christmas reminds us why we do. Because actually it's all about Jesus.

Once a Christian, once a person gets really saved, once a person is really going to heaven, then the rest of their time on the earth is all about Jesus. It's all about witnessing for Jesus. It's all about how can we get as many of our friends and family members, how much of the world can we get saved before we go? How many people can we take with us? So that actually what we're doing, we're plundering hell to fill up heaven. Once a person gets saved, then that's their focus. That's their purpose. That's God's plan for their life, that they would be his ambassadors to the rest of the world.

As Christians today, you and I, we have the Holy Ghost, that same Holy Spirit. And he is in us to lead us so that we're always in the right place at the right time, doing the right things with the right folks for the right reasons, so that we can be that light to the world. Just like Simeon, he led Simeon into the temple. God wants to lead us every day. It's a matter of learning. Every Christian can learn to hear the voice of the Lord. Every Christian can learn to be led by the Holy Ghost, just like Simeon.

I just keep falling in love with him. Every time I see something more about how much he loves me, I fall in love with him again. So, the Holy Ghost is with us to not only lead us, but to reveal more of Jesus to us. And remember we said Christmas is all about, it's all about Jesus. So, as we get more of the revelation of who he is, the more purpose we have in our lives.

``Unrighteousness is feeling unworthy, feeling guilty, feeling condemned, feeling like God wouldn't do it. He'll do it for everybody else, but he wouldn't bless you. He wouldn't heal you. He wouldn't deliver you. He wouldn't answer your prayers. He'll answer everybody else, but he won't answer you. Why? Because there's something wrong with you. Unrighteousness is feeling that there's something wrong with me. But when the Bible says he cleanses us, he cleanses us from all of those feelings because he shed his blood to give you, what Pastor Jenny was talking about earlier, the gift of righteousness.

See, you need power because you've got an enemy in the earth. He's breaking down, breaking up, tearing apart families. He's breaking down, tearing apart nations. He's tearing races apart. He's tearing the men and women from each other. You need power to overcome that. So Jesus, he's cleansing us. He's empowering us. And then thirdly, he's sending us. He's cleansing. He's empowering. He's sending.

Jesus was walking, you know, again with his disciples. And he looks out and he sees the crowd. And he has, the Bible says he has compassion on them. Because they're like sheep with no shepherd. And that's the way people are today. People are like sheep. You know, whatever comes up on YouTube, whatever comes up on Facebook, whatever comes up on TikTok, whatever comes up is going to lead people one way or the other because people are just sheep. He saw the mass of humanity, that people are like sheep and they're led by any voice.
