#CrossAlone
“You see that's our common faith. We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's Christ who saves us, not ourselves. It's not the cross plus my good works. It's just the cross. It's not the cross plus me doing a lot of good deeds and and, you know, volunteering for every ministry in the church. It's just the cross. It's not the cross plus me reading the right authorized translation of scripture. It's just the cross. It's not the cross plus me joining the appropriate denomination because, you know, there's only one that has got all truth nailed down. No, it's just the cross.”

#BelongToGod
“The writer of Hebrews there is telling us clearly through this temple language that Christians first belong to God. You belong to God if you have been born again. You see, you've been bought and paid for by Jesus' blood and you have been adopted into the family of God, the church. So you belong to God. But because Christians belong to God, we're part of the family of God, therefore, we belong to one another.”

#ChurchIsFamily
“Everybody raise your hand because absolutely every one of us has been dinged up by the church to some extent. Because we're sinners. And that's what sinners do. We ding each other up. But friends, because the church is imperfect is not a reason to cast it off. Just because one church hurts you is not reason to never return to the church at all. You see, we must learn that the church is a family, is the family of God and if we are Christians, we belong in the church.”

#HoldHopeTogether
“Who in this room has had thoughts of giving up recently? Raise your hand. Be honest. Throw your I want I'm ready to throw my hands up and just walk away because it's just too hard. I'm tired of the struggle. I'm tired of the fight. Writer of Hebrews says, I want you to hold this this this hope without wavering. How do we do that? Friends, the church, we have a community of people that we are a part of that has the mission of encouraging one another not to give up no matter what.”

#CertainHope
“You know, a lot of us think, I hope that my favorite team is actually gonna play competent football. I hope. And and with that hope, that word hope, there's an there's an idea that maybe that's not gonna happen. See, that's not the hope I'm talking about here. The hope that the the writer of Hebrews is talking about, it's not a I hope this is it's an it is I know. This is my hope. I'm attaching my hope to this because this is sure it's going to happen. We need to point one another to that hope. That's what we do.”

#EveryBelieverMatters
“You know, some of you might believe that, well, God only uses pastors and teachers and evangelists to to reach people and make disciples. No. The the the plan of God has always been that the body of Christ, the church engage in the mission of Christ. And every one of you has a purpose. Every one of you is a part of God's plan to reach the world. Isn't that amazing? You have purpose. See, y'all don't act like that's amazing this morning. It's a God wants to use you to accomplish his plan. Now some of you might be thinking, man, what in the world was God thinking?”

#NoMoreTemptation
“Friends, the thing that I'm looking forward to the most is finally, I'm gonna be free of sin. Finally, no more temptation. Finally, no more fighting that impulse. Finally, no more guilt and shame when my fight ended in failure. No more praying, god, forgive me for this only to have to pray the same prayer three days later.”

#HumbleThroughStudy
“Friends, let me tell you something. The greatest way to stay humble is get in a group of people and study God's word together. And then you begin to realize we all have something wrong. Amen? And let me let you in on a little secret. When we stand before Jesus one day, when he returns, we're gonna all discover that we had something wrong.”
