#ChristCameForYou
“That the God of the universe loves us that much? That the God of the universe chose to Yahweh chose to come as our shepherd, but a shepherd that does what? A shepherd that lays his life down for sheep that go astray. That's Isaiah 53, by the way. It lays his life down for those that go astray, and so we remember then that you can read it on the top of the screen, you are Christ's treasure. You're the one he came to buy. In fact, let me make sure you understand in the parables, when Jesus says the field, and notice he bought the field to get the treasure. Alright? When he says the word field, he means the world. And and I think you know the verse, God so loved the Yeah, that He gave His only Son or sent His only Son, and whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. He came to seek you His treasure.”

#JesusLaidDownHisLife
“Jesus wasn't murdered, although people say that all the time. He wasn't murdered. Are you kidding? He gave up His life. Remember what He said to Peter. Peter, don't you think I could call legions and legions of angels and stop this thing? But, that's not the way it's going down, Peter. I'm gonna die. But, I'm gonna die for what? I'm gonna die for the errant sheep, you see. I'm gonna lay down my life for the sheep, and I'm gonna take it up again. And I I do wanna make sure you hear, Jesus says he has the great this I'm just gonna say the Greek word, exousia. He has the power or authority to lay his life down and to raise himself from the dead.”

#ReconciledByChrist
“For one will scarcely die for a righteous person, though for a good person, one would dare even to die. But God shows his love for us in this, that while we were not good, not righteous, but while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Since therefore we have been justified or made righteous by his blood, how much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God? For if we were enemies Did you catch that? You were God's enemy. If while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”

#TakeUpYourCross
“Take up the cross does not mean suffer. Although, the bible is pretty clear that Christians will suffer in this world. There's no question. Alright? No. Deny yourself, die to yourself, and follow me. No one picked up a cross, guys, went out on the hill and came back for dinner that night. When they went on the cross, they died. What might take six hours in the case of Jesus, might take days, horrible horrible way to die. You understand?”

#DenySelfFollowJesus
“Peter says, no, Lord. This will never happen to you. And, what does Jesus say to Peter? Get behind me, Satan. Right? For you have in mind the things of men and not the things of God. And then Jesus says this. So it's these, verses 24 to 27. Then Jesus told his disciples, if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. Now, I'm just gonna pause for a second. Take up the cross does not mean suffer. Although, the bible is pretty clear that Christians will suffer in this world. There's no question. Alright? No. Deny yourself, die to yourself, and follow me. No one picked up a cross, guys, went out on the hill and came back for dinner that night.”

#ChristsTreasure
“And it was a little two year old. I was kinda blown no, actually three. Actually three years old. I was kinda blown away. She was so quiet. It was so great. Just this tiny little person just doing her thing there, and I was talking about that when Jesus hung on the cross, he had in mind. And I looked up and mama is just crying her eyes out. Right? It's moving, isn't it? That the God of the universe loves us that much? That the God of the universe chose to Yahweh chose to come as our shepherd, but a shepherd that does what? A shepherd that lays his life down for sheep that go astray. That's Isaiah 53, by the way. It lays his life down for those that go astray, and so we remember then that you can read it on the top of the screen, you are Christ's treasure.”

#ParablesAboutChrist
“But these two parables have often been said to be about us seeking the treasure in the field, seeking the pearl of great price, And that's not actually an accurate reading of those two parables. Now, is that true? Yeah. I'm gonna bring those two parables to you and remind you that, in fact, God wants you to be seeking him all the days of your life. And yet, I wanna shift the focus of that parable to what we believe Jesus really meant, and so that's where we're headed today. Alright.”

#LoveGodWithAll
“There's no question. God wants you to seek him. He wants to be your all in all. Let's put it that way, 100% all in for Jesus. So let's say this together. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. So Jesus reminds us of what is said in the Old Testament, of course, but he's also getting at what he expects, and that is that that Jesus is, in fact, God is, father, son, and holy spirit is in fact our all in all, our everything.”
