#LightSnuffedOut
“You think about the sun which rises every day and blazing in its heat. And that the picture that Luke gives is almost that like as Jesus, the author of creation, the son of God is being delivered over to death. The the son itself is just sort of like, I give up. The son itself is given over to despair and Jesus dies in darkness. His heart stops beating. His lungs collapse and cease to take in air and Jesus dies. And his lifeless body is taken off of that cross and placed in a tomb and a stone is rolled in front and what you have is the light of the world snuffed out and sealed in darkness.”

#SinSeparates
“Sin is our collective and your individual and my individual rejection of God. And what that leads to is an alienation, a separation, a distance from God. And here's how this all works. If you could kinda tie this together is that God is the author of life. That God is life himself. And so when we have said, you know what? No, God. I'm gonna do my own thing. I'm gonna live life apart from you and and maybe even say, hey, I like you. You're a good guy, but I'm I still want what makes me comfortable, what makes me happy and what puts me on the throne so to speak. What happens is when you step away from the author of life, guess what you inherit? Death.”
