“``Folks, sometimes before the sun comes up, we're able to catch a glimpse of daylight on the horizon. It's not fully daytime yet. Sun is not at its highest point. But that early light tells us that something is coming and it's powerful. In other words, the sun is coming whether you can fully see it or not. The sun is coming. God's mercies are new every day. Greatest is faithfulness. Daylight comes. And there's joy in the morning. In Mark nine, Peter, James, John get a glimpse of Jesus' full glory on the mountain. It's not the whole story yet, but it's enough to show these three who he really is.”

#JesusIsLord
“Human religion tries to put Jesus on the same level as other great historical teachers, but God radically shatters that view. He radically shatters that view. Right, Greg? Shatters it. Jesus is not a prophet, he's not a teacher, he's not some good man, he is Lord. And he's seated at the right hand of God right now. You see, regardless if you come to setting faith in Christ or not on this side, Jesus is still Lord. Does that make sense? He's Lord of your life as a believer, but he's still Lord and he's still reigning even for the unbelievers.”

#LeanOnJesus
“Who he really is, even before the cross. God doesn't always reveal everything at once, but he gives enough to strengthen our faith. You may only see a glimpse, but it points to a greater reality. You may not understand the whole plan, but Jesus is still who he says he is. And that should speak truth to us this morning as a dear loved one. And the dear people in this church have had a tragic thing happen. We we don't understand fully the whole plan and why on this side. But Jesus is still who he says he is. Amen. In the hurt and in the pain and in the loss and in the suffering. He is the one who will strengthen you, who will love you through it, who will see you through it. Lean on him and cling to him and then through it all. And then when God speaks, this is my beloved son, listen to him. That settles it. That settles it. Listen to him.”

#ListenToJesus
“Jesus is God's beloved Son, listen to him. It would do us well even today, a thousand years later, to take heed of what God says and to listen to him. Amen? Listen to Jesus in your life, in your walk. Get in the scriptures and learn more about life's Christ and listen to his doctrine and his teachings, the foundations of our faith. Get back to the basics of Christianity. Know them. Listen to Jesus. Be in relationship with him, that close relationship. Learn from him. Lean on him. Trust him. Isn't that something that we need to do day by day? Trust Jesus, folks. Not ourselves, not this world, not influencers, not celebrities, not TV personalities. Trust Jesus. Listen to him.”
