44s
“Paul tells us we were powerless to change it or even influence the outcome in another direction, but Jesus Christ died for us. That's right. Although we were destined for eternal death, Jesus died. He died in your place so that you would not have to die. He suffered hell so that you would not have to suffer hell. We deserve death because we are sinful. That was our situation and we were powerless to change it. Christ died for us. He is powerful. He was and is powerful enough to change what we cannot.”

We deserve death because we are sinful. That was our situation and we were powerless to change it. Christ died for us. He is powerful. He was and is powerful enough to change what we cannot. And Jesus did that. He died for you while you were still a sinner. Still meaning your situation hadn't changed. In fact, you didn't even wanna change your situation as as human beings, we have walked away from God. We've gone in a direction that takes us farther and farther away from the Lord. We've walked away and we weren't coming back, but Jesus still died. He didn't throw up his hands in disgust and say, fine. If that's the way you want it, go your own way. Forget you. He died while we were still sinners. And because of Jesus, because of his life, death, and resurrection, you are now reconciled.”

The creator of the universe, the God of all things, the one who made you, the one who knit and formed you in your mother's womb because of Jesus, you have been reconciled to your father in heaven.”
