#DailySpiritFilling
“Every believer is baptized in the spirit once, but there should be many fillings in their life. In fact, I would pray that you'd have a feeling if the Holy Spirit every day. Because if you don't, while you're baptized in the spirit, you're gonna live your life not according to the spirit. You're gonna live your life according to your flesh. So every morning, you need to wake up acknowledging your sinful tendency to go back to your old habits. Oh, God, I don't wanna live according to my my this beast that raises inside of me. I wanna be filled with your spirit so I can hear from you, I can live for you, I can flourish as a believer in Jesus. And you need to pray for that every day. Lord, fill me with your spirit.”

#LoveLeadsToHoliness
“Now, guys, I'm gonna speak to you because I think this text is particularly addressing the desires and the need for self control of men. your lack of self control, if it takes away from her, if it taints if it lessens her holiness, how can you claim that you truly love her if the greatest expression of love is for you to help your wife walk as closely to Jesus as she possibly can. There's no way you can love her more than that.”

#DecisionsForChrist
“This whole series, what I think is the primary reason we're given first Corinthians is to show saints how to become saints. That God has declared positionally that we are his thanks to the righteousness of Jesus. And while we are daily growing, we're daily becoming more and more saintly in how we live to please him. And if we're gonna grow in that way, then all of our decisions need to be based on Christ. How are we going to glorify him through every single decision that we make? That's the way that we need to think as saints and as believers.”

#BringDesiresUnderControl
“At the end of the day, these are the questions that we're asking. Are we filtering them through a relationship with Christ? And I've told you how we rephrase the questions, but then we've got to live it out. And it so we stand before God one day. How do we know that we are making decisions that truly please him? How do we know what to do? Well, these questions and the way that we go about making decisions, they all bring us back, I believe, to the way that Paul concludes chapter seven, and we see it in verse 37. The key to making these decisions in a way that glorifies God is to do what he explains we have to do and bring our desires under control.”
