“But godly wisdom says, you can wake up in the morning and know that the world might hate you. You might be twenty pounds overweight or twenty pounds underweight. You might be really old, really young, come from broken parents, good parents. You might live in Bakersfield. You might live at the beach. You are reconciled to your creator because Christ paid for you, loved you, and forgave you. You can wake up with that truth every morning. All the circumstances can change. Good days, bad days, good days, bad days. But on your worst day, you still have Jesus. You still have Jesus. And that's what makes it good wisdom. It's always true. It's true from Christ forward. It's true in the nineteen hundreds, the eighteen hundreds, and the seventeen hundreds. It's not true for a season. It's not true for half the time, part of the time. It's true all the time.”

“And so God's wisdom starts with God's answer to the problem, sending his son Jesus. So Jesus comes in the form of human. He lives the perfect life. He dies the perfect death. He overcomes all temptation. He overcomes all evil. He goes to the cross. He takes our punishment, God's wrath poured down on him. He dies and he rises from the dead. He conquers sin and he conquers death. So Jesus does what we can't. Right? That's God actually has a plan to fix what the soul needs, a way for us to be united with our creator through the payment of Jesus. So then what's for us? Well, response is to turn from worldly wisdom.”
