Jesus’ warning lands with the title, “right place, right time, wrong revelation.” The image of the man at the airport says it plain: right building, right day, right ticket, wrong gate. He was not rebellious, careless, or late. He simply misread the moment, and that is the danger in the kingdom.

Matthew 25 shows that danger through the ten virgins. The ten all had invitation, identity, lamps, expectation, and the right direction. They were all waiting on the bridegroom, but intention was not preparation. The foolish were not wicked. They were dull, unperceptive, unable to interpret the moment. They carried the lamp, but they carried no oil. They had the form, but no fuel. They had access, but no alignment.

Timing shapes preparation, behavior, interpretation, and access. When spiritual time is wasted in places where there is no jurisdiction, assignments can be held up and future moments can be missed.

Wisdom is not intelligence, education, gifting, or sounding deep. Wisdom is spiritual sensitivity. Wisdom reads the hour, discerns the season, and responds correctly when God is moving. Discipline is not punishment. Discipline is instruction, training, loving correction, and the daily structure that keeps oil in the lamp.

God’s kindness reaches everybody, but His intimacy is selective. Kindness may bring someone into the outer courts, but preparation brings that person into the inner chambers. The danger is not being absent. The danger is being present with the wrong revelation.
