1. "We've been looking at who qualifies, who's invited to the kingdom of heaven, who's allowed, who's welcomed by God into the kingdom. And then not only who is welcome, in which we know when you look in the Beatitudes, it's everybody. It's all of us. It's not just the wise and the strong and the wealthy. It's all of us, the broken, the busted and the disgusted. Amen. It's all of us who have been living this life are welcome into the kingdom of God." 2. "There are things that we call living that are not living. The grind is not life. Amen. What is life? It's the laugh that you have with your friends over a cup of coffee. It's the look in your kids' eyes when you're throwing the ball with them. It's so much more than stuff. It's so much more than getting up and going to work, fighting traffic, you know, doing your thing, coming home, eating supper and going to bed. that's not the life. 3. "A blessed life is better than an easy one. The journey may be difficult at times, but with God, it's full of grace and peace and abundance. Look at me, look at this with me at Psalm 23. This is familiar for a lot of people. Many of y 'all probably have memorized that. Or at least heard of it. Let's look at it. It says, the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. 4. "There is a right way. It's God's way. But the problem is, is that the way that is appealing to us is not often God's way. We want to take the safe, the comfortable, the path of least resistance, the least drama, right? We want the easy way. We want glory and splendor and promotion and favor, and we don't want to have to fight for it. We don't want to have to work for it. We don't want to have to do nothing. 5. "If you want to find a good and eternal life, then you have to choose the right way. And since the right way leads to salvation and the wrong way leads to destruction, it's really important that we judge wisely what path we're on. Don't you agree? 6. "You don't have to remember all the rules. You don't have to learn all 613 of the Old Testament laws. You just have to keep your eyes on Jesus and follow him. This is life. You want life? Follow him. If you don't want life, go where you want to go. Do what you want to do. Live how you want to live. In the end, you won't have what you really want." 7. "It's not enough to enter in the gate. You have to choose to walk the path. So many people pray to prayer one day. I put my faith in Jesus. I want to be saved from my sins. I want to be forgiven. I want to go to heaven. But they don't follow him. They don't live the way he says to live. They entered the gate, but they stayed right there. And for many, they just keep looking back." 8. "The good news is that God offers us grace in this world. That if we've chosen the world and we've walked after the world, there's this thing that God gives us. It's a gift. It's called repentance. You know what repentance means? It means change your mind and change your ways all at one. It means that if I'm driving down the wrong side of the road and the GPS says, make a U -turn, all I got to do is listen to the GPS and make a U -turn and start driving the correct way."
