But one of those, and of course, the one that we desire for people is to be purposefully connected to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who is more than Savior, but He is our Savior. Amen? [00:09:06] (18 seconds)

You think about the apostle Peter who was crucified upside down on a cross, and you think, well, he loved the Lord, and he walked with God, and he followed God, and his life didn't turn out like we would think. Draw it up. Oh, but it did, because he just went through the portal of death to live on for all of eternity in the presence of his Savior, his friend, his treasure. [00:18:24] (32 seconds)

The psalmist says there, when the cares of my soul are many, your consolations cheer my soul. Friends, we are called to glorify God by enjoying him forever. [00:19:12] (17 seconds)

The answer is man's chief end or man's purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Amen to that. Amen to that. But I remember reading Piper's book, Desiring God, and he changed one word, and it makes a load. And he said that the chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever. [00:20:53] (25 seconds)

When you see Jesus as being the glorious Savior and friend of your soul, and you repent of it, and you trust Him, and you say, God, I want to dethrone myself, and you be the king of my heart, as though we have to give Him permission, but we do. It's what the Bible calls repentance and faith. [00:21:59] (24 seconds)

You tell yourself, before I pay my taxes, before I pay my bills, before I pay my mortgage, I'm giving to the Lord because He is the highest and greatest treasure of my soul. And I long to spend time with Him. I long to fellowship with Him. I long to talk with Him, to read of Him, to learn His wisdom. You're telling yourself, you're telling others, others. [00:22:41] (28 seconds)

If you see God's word as perfectly wise and complete or sufficient, then you will imperfectly and progressively seek him with your whole heart and soak in his wisdom to apply his wisdom to your life. And if you see God's word as perfectly wise and complete or going to your isl. [00:35:11] (22 seconds)

Spending time with the Lord in His Word revives your soul. Breathe new life into your walk with the Lord. Gives you purpose for every relationship, every trial, every situation, and every decision. Are you unsure of what to do in a family situation, or a work situation, or a financial decision? Growing in God's wisdom, friends, gives you all of the spiritual wisdom that you need to make every decision that you face. [00:38:54] (29 seconds)

You can be deeply discouraged and sufficiently joyful and live for the glory of God. His Word endures forever because He endures forever. And His love has given you perfect choice, wisdom, fellowship with God in His Word, cultivate intimacy with Christ. And you will learn, this is where 2 Timothy 3, 16 and 17 comes in, you'll learn how to think rightly about the myriad of situations that you face. [00:40:44] (30 seconds)
