God has given each of us a choice between life and death, blessing and cursing, and urges us to choose life by loving Him, walking in His ways, and keeping His commandments. This is not just a message for the ancient Israelites, but for every person today; the path to true life is found in turning our hearts to God and following Him wholeheartedly, not just in outward appearance but in genuine devotion. If we turn away or harden our hearts, we risk missing out on the blessings God has prepared, but if we choose Him, He promises life for us and our children. [05:56]
Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (ESV):
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you need to intentionally choose God’s way over your own? What would it look like to choose life in that area today?
True life does not begin with our own efforts, our family, or even our church attendance—it starts and is sustained only in Jesus Christ. No matter how often we go to church or how many good deeds we do, unless we have truly given our hearts to Jesus and follow Him, we remain in darkness. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and only by surrendering to Him can we be rooted, grounded, and fruitful, like a tree planted by the river. [07:47]
John 14:6 (ESV):
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Reflection: Have you truly surrendered your heart to Jesus, or are you relying on your own goodness or religious habits? What step can you take today to root your life more deeply in Christ?
The Word of God is alive and powerful, not just words on a page, and it is essential to study, hear, and obey it if we want to grow strong in faith. Many people hear the Word but let it roll off like water on a duck’s back, refusing to let it change them; but those who listen, receive, and act on God’s Word are blessed and walk in the light. Don’t turn a deaf ear to God’s voice—He still speaks, and He calls us to follow Him daily, picking up our cross and walking in His ways. [26:49]
Hebrews 4:12 (ESV):
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Reflection: When was the last time you let God’s Word truly challenge or change you? What is one command or teaching from Scripture you need to obey today?
Nothing is hidden from God; He knows our hearts, our actions, and our thoughts every moment of every day. We may fool ourselves or others by outward appearances, but God sees through every pretense, just as He saw Adam and Eve hiding in the garden. The Bible is our roadmap to heaven, and if we live according to it with sincerity, God will guide us; but if we try to hide our sin or live double lives, we only deceive ourselves. [19:17]
Psalm 139:1-4 (ESV):
O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
Reflection: Is there anything you are trying to hide from God or others? What would it look like to bring that area into the light and let God deal with it today?
We are called to live unashamed of Jesus, giving thanks to God openly and letting our lives reflect our faith wherever we go. Whether in public or private, we should not be afraid to pray, give thanks, or speak of Jesus, for He said if we are ashamed of Him, He will be ashamed of us. Let your love for Christ be visible, and let your gratitude and devotion shine as a testimony to others, knowing that Jesus has prayed for you and given you the strength to stand firm. [33:52]
Romans 1:16 (ESV):
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Reflection: Where in your daily life do you tend to hide your faith or shrink back from showing your love for Jesus? What is one way you can boldly and lovingly acknowledge Him today?
Gathering together in the house of God is one of the greatest blessings we can experience, but it only brings true blessing when our hearts are set on serving Jesus Christ and God the Father. The strength of our spiritual life is directly tied to our willingness to hear, study, and obey the living Word of God. Both Christians and those who have not yet believed are called to listen and not turn a deaf ear, for the Word is alive and powerful, able to transform and guide us. Life itself begins with Jesus Christ—there is no other source. The Bible makes it clear: we must be born again, and this new life is only found in Him.
God has set before each of us a choice: life and good, or death and evil. This is not just a message for the Israelites of old, but for every one of us today. We can attend church, hear preaching, and even do good things, but unless our hearts are truly surrendered to Christ, we remain in darkness. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; following Him means walking in the light, even when it is difficult. The world offers many paths that seem right, but only the way of Christ leads to eternal life.
The Word of God is our roadmap, guiding us through the challenges and temptations of life. It is not enough to hear the Word; we must let it take root in our hearts and bear fruit in our lives. God knows every secret of our hearts—nothing is hidden from Him. Just as Adam and Eve could not hide from God in the garden, neither can we hide our true selves. The call is to genuine repentance, to seek God at the altar, and to let Him transform us from the inside out.
Jesus Christ, the living Word, came to bring us the truth and to show us the way to the Father. He calls us to pick up our cross daily and follow Him, to listen for His voice, and to obey even when it means letting go of things we once loved. The joy and peace found in Christ are greater than anything the world can offer. Our choice is clear: to walk in the light and receive eternal life, or to remain in darkness and miss the blessing God has prepared. Let us not be ashamed of our Lord, but give Him thanks in all things, remain grounded in His Word, and trust that He has prayed for us, that we might be strong and faithful until the end.

John 3:3 (ESV) — Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Psalm 119:105 (ESV) — Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Don't turn a deaf ear to the word of God. I'm talking to sinners and I'm talking to Christians. Don't turn your deaf ear to the word of God. Hear the word of God and be blessed. Praise God, because this word, this word of the Lord God is a live word. It is a real word. It is live. [00:01:51] (25 seconds) #HearTheLivingWord
Let me tell you, my brother and sister, it's easy to give your heart and soul to Jesus Christ. All you got to do is say, Lord, forgive me. Praise God and be serious with it. Be serious. I cannot say, Lord, forgive me, and don't mean it. [00:07:39] (19 seconds) #SincereRepentance
If I think I'm just a pretty good old boy if I think I'm going to make heaven my home yeah I'm going to make heaven my home I'm planning on it but I'm still going to live the way I want to live I'm still going to live in the area or do what I do I'm still going to use the filthy language I use I'm going to say the things I say I'm going to tell the filthy jokes I know now I'm saying I'm not a Christian I'm just saying this but yet I could come to the house of God and if I still walk out of the house of God and still think I'm okay I'll fool myself I'll fool myself praise God listen God is all yours he is all thoughts there's nothing secret there's nothing uncovered there's nothing covered there's nothing hid God knows it all he knows my heart he knows your heart he knows what you do for 24 hours a day I said 24 7 you're going to say it praise God he knows we cannot hide from God we cannot hide nothing. Don't be ashamed of my Lord. Don't be ashamed of Him. He said, whosoever is ashamed of me, I'm going to be ashamed of you. Praise God. Listen, we ain't going to fool Jesus Christ not in a little bit. As I said long ago, praise God, Jesus Christ is the way. And if I want to live, make heaven my home and live eternity with Him, live in joy, live in peace, live for Him where there ain't going to be no torment, I can do so. Because He gave that choice to me. I can live for Him. Or I can put, I can turn a deaf ear to Him. [00:30:55] (37 seconds) #LifeStartsWithJesus
Whosoever come out of darkness, walk in the light, give your heart and soul to Jesus Christ and God the Father, think about heaven, Jesus wanted to think about the heavenly things, not the things of the world, not the things of Satan. Satan's on a rampage in the Bible telling me that he's going to and through through this whole world seeking who he may devour. Praise God, he's after, he's after the Christian people. Be you therefore strong, be you grounded in the word of God and so Satan can't touch you. [00:34:50] (43 seconds) #NeverAshamedOfJesus
As long as we've walking under the cross and under the blood, there's no power can pluck us out of his hand. Only power there is my little old weakness self. I can turn and take myself out from under the blood. I can turn and go back into the world where I got one thing ahead of me. That is Haiti if I don't ever make it back.
