#PassTheBaton
“This was effective in here because dozens, hundreds of ordinary people simply did one thing. That's how the gospel came to you, wasn't it? There wasn't one person that carried the gospel the whole way to you. Someone passed it. Someone else passed it. Parents passed it. Pastors passed it. Friends passed it. Missionaries passed it. A Sunday school teacher past it. A coworker, past it. Classmate, past it. Two thousand years ago, Jesus handed his mission to his disciples, And today, the baton has reached us. The question is that whether you'll receive it, many of you already have. The question is, will you pass it on?”

#PassOnTheBlessing
“Many of you in this room today, many of you watching online, you have received the gospel of Jesus Christ. You have received that most treasured blessing. Haven't you? Jesus came into your life, and he's changed you. He's transformed your life. The greatest blessing in all of the world is for you to simply pass it on to somebody else. To not let the baton with you.”

#ShareWhatYouveSeen
“So what does it mean to be a witness? When Jesus is telling the disciples to be a witness, Like, what does that mean? There's two major parts to being a witness. One is to describe or to tell the things that you've seen, and also to describe and to tell the things that you've heard. So when you're witnessing about Jesus, you're simply sharing the things that you have seen and heard him do in your life and around your life. That's what it means to be a witness.”

#ChurchCarriesTheBaton
“But see, that's not where the story ends. The big story of the bible, the big story of god continues describes in his account of the gospel that his job there was to talk about all the things that Jesus began to do and to teach. That means the book of Acts is about everything that Jesus continues to do. So the question is not, is Jesus continuing to move? Is Jesus continuing to work? That's not the question. The question is whether his church is carrying the baton. So, through today's sermon, we need to see that the big story goes on through the church carrying the great commission. You see, God continues to bless the nations through the church of Jesus Christ.”

#PoweredByTheHolySpirit
“This power will be essential for the work that Jesus has for them because they would not be able to advance Jesus' mission in their own power and strength. It's too much. So the power of the Holy Spirit was not a luxury. He's an absolute requirement. He's not a other than get around to kind of circumstance or relationship. In order to be the people, in order to be the church that God has designed for them to be, that they're required to be, to fulfill his plans, his purpose for them. They were gonna have to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do so.”

#ShareTheGreatestBlessing
“There is no greater blessing than you could offer your children. There is no greater blessing than you can offer your grandchildren. There is no greater blessing than you can offer your neighbor. There is no greater blessing than you can offer your friend. There is no greater blessing. You can offer someone sitting on the aisle with you this morning. There is no greater blessing in all of the world than you can offer somebody else than to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.”

#WitnessToAllNations
“Second part of verse eight reveals what the purpose is. The purpose is to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth. Do you see that? That that was the purpose. That was the target. That was the aim. That would be the north star that they would be purposed to fulfill. So, remember, God's covenant going all the way back to Abraham was that God would bless them so that they would in turn become a blessing to the nations. There's a lot of ways that we can bless people, but the greatest way to bless another person is to share the gospel with them by being a witness about Jesus. There is no greater blessing than you will ever be able to offer another human being than to share the gospel with them.”

#SpiritOfJesusInUs
“See, previously, the works of God were in proximity to Jesus, the Son of God. And now Jesus is saying, because I'm going to the Father, the Holy Spirit is gonna fill you, and then you are now gonna be empowered to be my witnesses and then greater things are gonna be done through you. Not because we're greater than Jesus, because we're the spirit of Jesus living inside of us. Do you see yourself that way? With that kind of potential? That's how God sees you. That's how Jesus said that we should expect that these kinds of things can be done through our lives.”
