“``This is a shocking moment. Israel's defeated. The priests were killed. The ark is captured. And it matters because the ark is the symbol of the covenant. It's is the throne of God. It is the symbol of God's presence. When Eli hears about the news, he he he's so distraught. He falls dead. But his daughter-in-law gives birth to a child and she names the child Ichabod. Meaning, the the the glory has departed. God has has forsaken But but there was a mistake being made here because because Israel's weakness, the church's weakness is not a sign of god's weakness. God was not weak. Israel was weak But but but even when god's people are in retreat, god is preparing something just below the surface.”

“Where wherever people seek the lord, he is sure to be found. Wherever people hunger and thirst for righteousness, they will be filled. If we desire god, god will give us the desires of our heart. The promises are are are found in Philippians chapter two which we heard that at the name of Jesus Christ, every knee will bow, every tongue will confess. The victory is already certain. The only question is, will we show up on game day? Will we show up to do our part? Will we take the field? Will we participate in the movement of God?”

“You've gotta know that you need Jesus. That was the only requirement. They said, if you think you've got your life completely together, you're self sufficient, you're a moral person, you you you you don't need anything, then we have nothing to offer. And I always say one of the groups that's doing the best job in the world at living out that model is the AA and NA community. They always say that the first step is to simply know that you need something to change in your life. If you don't need that, if you don't know that you need that, if you think you're doing fine, they say, we have nothing to offer you.”

“And See, it's not just about being a part of the church and it's not just about sharing the church's mission, but we each individually have a mission to carry out. First of all, each of us have the promises of God that he's with us, that he's equipped us, that he gives us power and his spirit to enable us. He promises to use us if we lend our hands and our talents to him. Each of us have our own purpose. Your calling is not generic. Your story isn't just a backstory. It's part of the narrative of god. You're you're special equipping. You your your talents, your interests, your hobbies, your abilities, you're uniquely positioned to reach some people that no one else is positioned to reach.”
