Day 1: Jesus Turns the Ordinary into the Extraordinary

No matter how ordinary or unremarkable you may feel, God delights in using ordinary people and ordinary things to accomplish His extraordinary purposes. Just as Jesus used simple jars meant for ceremonial washing to perform His first miracle at the wedding in Cana, He takes what we have—our everyday lives, our simple acts of faith—and, by His supernatural grace, brings about miracles that touch lives and build His Church. You may not see yourself as special, but in God’s hands, your willingness and obedience can become part of a much greater story. [58:52]

John 2:6-10
Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”

If we build our lives or our church on anything or anyone else, we will ultimately be disappointed. Let us make Jesus the center of it all, knowing that when everything else fades, He still stands.
