#RepresentGodDaily
“See, here's the reality. We are imperfect people living in an imperfect world called to represent a perfect god to the world around us. That's a tall order. And it is one that that I will not get right all the time. You will not get right all the time, but we cannot give up. We cannot quit. We cannot say, well well, no. We we gotta we just have to keep pouring ourselves out to this.”

#FaithMustChangeLife
“And if it doesn't, this is what I call the so what principle. If it doesn't, so what? If if I profess faith in Jesus Christ, but it hasn't changed my life, so what? You you understand what I'm saying? It it has to be a priority in my life, and that means that things like fear and doubt and uncertainty and stuff cannot, should not be a regular part of my life. Somebody could say, I have cancer. But I lost my spouse. But my kids are making terrible decisions. But gas prices are too high. But my boss is acting like the the north end of a southbound mule. Think about that a few minutes. Okay? but this, but that, but this, listen, all of those things are your circumstances. circumstances are not in control of your life, are they?”

#RadicalAgapeLove
“The second, observation we need to make from chapter four is that like is not a third option. In other words, I well, I don't hate them. Well, I like them. No, like is not a third option. Remember this, remember this from chapter four if you're with us. Our call is to a radical kind of love. Radical. And just to remind you, just to define it, it is agape, sacrificial, others first kind of love. So the question comes back it comes right back to us again. Do we agape, god kind of love each other?”

#TheologyInPriority
“``we focused on the fact that your theology will be revealed in your priority. You know, what we believe about God, it shows up in what our life looks like. The question is simply this, does what I believe about God affect my daily life? And, as I also ask today, is my life better because of my belief in God? If it isn't, then what difference is my theology, my belief in and understanding of God? What difference is it really making? John states that if it is real, my belief and love of God, then I will keep God's commandments and I will love God's people. Now, we certainly don't get either of those right a 100% of the time. Nevertheless, those goals should become the priority of my life if my belief is real.”

#ProfessNotPractice
“let's not be too quick to run past that question because gotta tell you, in a lot of years of of trying to walk with Jesus, a of years of doing ministry, I have encountered more than a few people who would would absolutely profess faith in Jesus Christ. I believe that he died on the cross. My sins, I I I believe I believe in Jesus. I believe in god. We all have said, but but they they live their lives as if they don't. I I don't maybe you've never met him. I've met some people like that. No thought to what God would think about this day or what God would want or preference or distinction or or whatever else for all intents and purposes. And this may sound harsh, but they are essentially a practicing atheist.”

#AnchorInScripture
“John knew, you and I should know, that church, a denomination, a society, anything that begins to be adrift theologically, that that moves away from, that that isn't moored to, tied to the the the unchanging foundation of god's inerrant word. Any any church, any person, any society that begin that isn't moored in the in the word of god, isn't isn't anchored to the word of God, will eventually drift into a sea of relativism.”

#SovereignOverAnxiety
“Lord God, help us to be mindful of the fact that that fear and anxiety and doubt and stress and all those things that want to crowd in on my life, They have no authority over my life. They are not my God. You are my God. And I believe that you're on your throne and that you're in control. So help me remember that. I can amen that on Sunday, Lord. Can I live that on Monday through Saturday?”

#WalkTheTalkFaith
“You don't have a personal trainer. Now, would they call me on it? Because my life hasn't changed. My my physique certainly hasn't changed. Nothing has changed about my life. So I can say I got a personal trainer all day, but if I don't do what the personal trainer says, then it doesn't make any difference in my life. You get the point? Saying that I believe in God, saying that they that that that god's word is true and his and his commandments are right and saying all those things mean nothing if I'm not willing to follow what he's saying.”
