#TransformationalFaith
“Listen. I I believe that Alexander the Great ruled over a vast empire, in the ancient world because there's plenty of empirical evidence that that points me in that direction, but it's not doing anything in my life. You understand? That kind of belief isn't changing me anyway. I'm not I'm not I'm not looking to order a toga off of Amazon or something because and start wearing it because I you you understand that that type of belief isn't changing my life at all. No. To believe biblically is both informational transformational. It's both of those things.”

#DeedsDontBuyHeaven
“said to me, well, I, you know, I I I I I'm good. I I I I believe. I'm I'm I'm a good person. I try I try to do the right thing. In other words, what they believe is that my deeds my deeds, what I do determine my acceptance in heaven. And ladies and gentlemen, that's according to the bible, that's just not true. Listen, your deeds may determine if you're accepted in your neighborhood, but they do not determine whether you're accepted in heaven. And everybody has to understand that.”

#FaithIsNotLicenseToSin
“Toward the end of the first century, there was a growing movement. I've already talked about this some in first John, but toward the end of the first century, there was a growing movement among professing believers that understood, hey, faith alone is what saves you, and and that doctrinally, that's correct, but here's where they went off the rails. Faith alone saves you so whatever I do in my body doesn't matter. Whatever I do as far as, whatever I do with whatever, it doesn't matter. I'm saved by grace and so I can just it don't matter. It don't matter.”

#DoubtIsTheEnemyTool
“The enemy loves to use doubt in your life. I mean, uses it as a tool against us all the time if he can. Isn't that exactly what he did with with Eve in the garden? you're not gonna die. I know God said you're gonna die, but you're not gonna die. God just said that because when he knows that he knows that if you eat that fruit, you're gonna be equal with god. You're gonna be like god. He didn't care about you. He just wants to keep you down. God doesn't want the competition.”

#SavedByGraceNotWorks
“have their god's blessing upon you. So what what it ends up meaning, ladies and gentlemen, is for both Jew and Gentile, it was always coming back to a works based religion. Always. Always has. And both Jew and Gentile needed and needs to understand that no one no one no one no one can gain access to God by the works that they do. That's right. Ephesians chapter two verses eight and nine, for by grace you've been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, not as a result of works. Why? So that no one may boast.”

#GraceIsNotAnExcuse
“In other words, they're taking the doctrine of grace and they're turning it into a license to sin. That that was beginning to grow toward the end of the first century. again, it hasn't changed much through the years. I've had talks with people that that would again would say something like, well, I I I prayed that prayer when I was eight years old and and I'm I'm good. I I I believe. No. I I mean, I don't really think about God. I don't I don't I don't go to church. I don't read the bible. I don't really have to do that, but but but but I believe.”

#FaithThatOvercomesDoubt
“People have doubts sometimes. I I would venture to say that there's more than one person within the sound of my voice that has struggled with doubts at times. So I I gave into that sin. I I lingered with that that temptation too long. Maybe I just haven't spent enough time in God's word and my relationship with him has become cold. It's become distant. I'm not even sure where I am in a relationship with him. Doubt, that sort of thing. And John comes along and says, here's what it looks like when you're a follower of Jesus Christ.”

#GodsAnswerIsBigger
“``And that thing you pray that one you prayed for, that spouse, that child, that whoever that was sick and you prayed, you begged cheek tears running down your cheeks, and you begged god to bring healing on that person, and he didn't do it, at least not in the way that you thought that he would do it. God's will has to always trump our will. Here's here's a here's a a good truth for you to hold on to for you to remember. God responds to our limited ask with his unlimited answer.”
