#MoreThanMyPast
“``How do I build a godly marriage when I've never seen a healthy marriage in my family before? How do I build financial stability when no one in my bloodline has known financial stability? How do I build a life of freedom when my father struggled with addiction and generations before him? How do I build when no one showed me what it's supposed to look like? And I'm here to tell you in the name of Jesus Christ, even though you've seen destruction, that does not mean destruction has to be your identity. Ruin does not have to be your identity. Something inside of you says, there is more, and that is Jesus. Whether you're a believer or not, God put that in you.”

#RiseUpAndBuild
“Still, other people simply just sit in the destruction, and they start calling that destruction normal. We call it normal when someone cannot sleep without drinking half of the bottle. These days, we call it normal when somebody says, I have a relationship over here, and I got another one over there, and and I don't wanna have to choose. So I I want this to be normal. Let me tell you, that's not normal. That is brokenness. And culture will call something normal long enough to where people sit in destruction and they do nothing about it. But this isn't the response God has for his people. Instead, God has called us to rise up and build.”

#CloseTheGates
“What is the lust of the eye? The constant pursuit for more, more money, more possession, more status, more likes. I want what somebody else has. It's when I become willing to sacrifice my peace, my family, my integrity just to obtain something that caught my eye. What is the lust of the pride of life? When I need to prove myself, defend myself, impress myself, impress others, demand respect. Do you know how many people have destroyed something that's valuable because they say, you're gonna respect me or else? All failures. I don't care if you're a celebrity or not. All failures trace back to one of these three areas. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life. Uncontrolled appetites, the pursuit of money and possessions, or pride. But when you decide the enemy will no longer have access to my life through this gate, you can begin protecting what God is helping you build. So you cannot keep praying for God to rebuild your life while continuing to leave gates open so that the enemy could come in and destroy it.”

#KingdomVision
“Nehemiah had never seen the walls in their beauty, but I love it. He had spent time in the presence of a king. See, there's something about being in the presence of kings. Even when you don't live the way they live, even when you don't eat the way they eat, even when you don't have what they have, you begin to see that there's something greater possible. And you cannot build anything until you first receive a vision of the kingdom of God. See, it's in the presence of God that your eyes begin to open. He gives you a picture of what your marriage can be, of what your family can become, about what your spiritual life can become, and what he desires to build through you. Tell your neighbor he's got more better for you.”

#DontSettleForLess
“Some of you've settled with getting by. Some of you've settled with far less than what God has placed inside of you. But when you tend time with the creator, when you send yourself, surround yourself with people who've been with the creator, with his people, you begin to recognize that there's gifts, there's a courage, there's a greatness God has placed inside of you. And you were not merely created to survive what is broken. You were created to rise up and build in Jesus' name.”

#ReturnToHisPresence
“Because every time you get into the presence of God, your vision expands. Every time you're in his presence, your faith is strengthened. Every time you're in his presence with his people, in his word, your vision gets clear. Clarity comes that he's called you to build something beyond you. And here's an important principle. When building begins to overwhelm you, that is a sign that you're trying to build it in your own strength, that you're doing it outside of the presence of God. If what you're doing right now, if the life you're living right now is exhausting if it's frustrating frustrating you, you, it's because you're carrying it out without God's wisdom and without God's direction. And I wanna encourage you. I believe the Lord's here right now saying, put it down. Get back into my presence. Surround yourself with other Jesus followers and put him first again. Tell your neighbor, get the order right.”

#ProtectWhatYouBuild
“So the first question is what does the enemy still have access to in my life? Now look straight ahead. Don't look at the person next to you. Don't look at the person behind you. I'm not because I'm not talking about you. I I may be talking about them and the people around you. Because a lot of us, we build something with our hands, then we tear it down with our mouths. Some of us make progress in our relationships, and they said then we say something that destroys everything you've been working on. How many of you built something good and then sabotaged it with one bad decision? See, God does not want your life to be a constant cycle of progress and setback, progress and setback, progress and setback. But if the gates remain open, the enemy will keep finding a way to destroy what you're building.”

#InspectBeforeYouBuild
“See, and Nehemiah understood, I've gotta examine what is broken so I know where to begin rebuilding. You cannot repair what you refuse to inspect. There's some of us, we got some stuff hidden in our lives. It's time to uncover it and inspect it. So part number three, before you rebuild, close the gates. Tell your neighbor, before you rebuild, close the gates. In in Nehemiah chapter three, he gathers the priests, the leaders, the families, workers, all these people from Jerusalem. He tells them, let us rise up and build. But they don't begin to build randomly. They do not pick up a few bricks and repair a piece of wall there or or they they build strategically.”
