59s
“``Jesus came for foolish builders. He came for the people that did not know how to build a house, who did not know and just trying to figure out. He came for men that were suffering in silence. He came for men who build on pride. He came for fathers who have failed. He came for men who didn't get it right. He came he came for the people that when the storm came, everything else was gone. And maybe you find yourself right now in this moment, in this very moment in your life just looking around at the destruction of that storm that has come through your life. Well the good news is that Jesus came and in the cross he took the biggest storm that any man could have. He defeated sin and he defeated death. So you and I can build on the rock that is Jesus.”
46s
“So it's okay if you failed. It's okay if you begin to build something and it's not looking right. It's okay if you have faithed up to this long. If it's it's okay if you were just a a church member, a church leader that everything you want, everything to look good just because you have a title, but yet every decision you make, Jesus is not in it. Every decision you make is a very selfish one. Jesus came for those men who think they are the rock. Let me take a burden from you. Look at me, man. You are not the rock. You were never meant to be the rock. You and I were meant to build on the rock that is Jesus.”
52s
“You see, Jesus repeats the storm language in both examples. The wise man faces the storm just like the foolish man faces the storm. The Christian, the believer, the one that build on the rock will face the storm. Jesus does not say to build on the rock and nothing will happen to you. He does not say to build on the rock and you will not see no floods, that you will not gonna be you you're not gonna see the wind coming in. Jesus does not say that. The storm will come. The storm will come to both houses. The difference is not weather if the storm comes. The difference is what the storm reveals.”
45s
“So that the storm does not create the foundation. It exposes the foundation. A lot of times the problem is that we want to we we want to start building when the storm is already there. Jesus says, listen. Build now because the storm is coming. It's just the reality. Now is the time when you hear, you do. You start building because the storms will come and when the storms come, where are you gonna be sitting at? Right? We all face storms in this life. All of us.”
