#OlderBrotherOfLove
“But the older brother in real life is the very gift of love to the lost. He's the one who is still seeking today. The one who got killed on the cross and came back again to keep on seeking the lost. He's the one who gave us the Holy Spirit so we could share in his mission of seeking our lost brothers and sisters.”

#GodWithYou
“God doesn't tell us to follow these commands and then he'll come and be with us. He says, I will come and be with you. I will forgive all your sin, all the mistakes you've made. I will work to heal you of the hurts that are keep holding you back, the scars that don't let you stretch out the way that you used to or you that you should have, that you you were born to to do. Instead, says, I will be with you from the beginning you can do this with me.”

#LoveThatWaits
“And we still ache for them whether they they are hurt because of their own choices or because of somebody else's. I think of that rotten kid that left his father and said, give me my share of the inheritance. And off he went. And in the parable, the father ached for him. You can tell by his response when the son finally came comes home that he must have spent a lot of time on the porch just scanning the horizon, looking for him to return. That ache didn't turn into anger or hatred. That ache turned into a greater and greater love.”

#OlderBrotherLost
“I just love the fact that in the kingdom of God, the older brother is the one who went searching for the lost. He wasn't some stuck up guy. Hey, I've got it all together. don't see why you're missing the other people. They've lost that's not Jesus, is it? The older brother in the parable is not the older brother in the kingdom of God. In the parable, the older brother is one of the lost. He's right at home and he's lost because he doesn't have love.”

#HeartTransformedByWord
“You can't have your heart filled with the word of God and not have your mind dwelling upon it. You can't have the core of your being aiming you at the things of God and not have your strength lent to it. There are, you know, all the practical issues of breaking old habits, habits of thought and habits of action that we still struggle with. But when the core is producing that kind of strength, that kind of light, that kind of wisdom, those battles with habits, that our strength and our thinking and our feeling reflect the glory of God, that's gonna come by his power working within our heart.”

#GraceCoversAll
“But let's recognize that the church is no place for battles about who is who is the favorite, who is the most loved, who really belongs here and who doesn't. The person who thinks that someone else doesn't belong because of their background, they better think about what God how God views their own background. If your background has been forgiven you, if your background has not been an impediment to God's grace to you.”

#JoyInSeekingTheLost
“That we should find our joy in the very thing that finds, that gives him joy. In seeking and saving the lost. In seeking and preaching the word, showing the word, ministering the work of God in their lives, letting the Holy Spirit speak through us, letting praying that the Holy Spirit will break through a hard and stubborn heart so that the family of God can be reunited.”

#JesusNeverGivesUp
“And then the voice of Jesus says, I haven't had it with them yet. I kinda go, okay. I need a bit more of your Holy Spirit, I think. Okay. I need a bit more encouragement from your word and from your body. But you're right, Jesus, because you're always right. That person is going to be a great member of the family when they turn to Jesus. That person is gonna have a great testimony when they turn to Jesus. And more than anything, that person is going to discover such great love from Jesus and from his whole family because that's what Jesus has decided to do. That's what he's decided for himself and that's what he's decided for us.”
