#LetGodRewrite
“``See, you think this sin, this mistake, this thing you've done in your life, whether it was four hours ago or whether it was forty years ago, you think this is the thing that could disqualify you from God's love and God's grace and God to use you. And I'm here to tell you it's a lie because God used even David's mess up. He should have never been with Bathsheba, but he was and God used it to bring Solomon and then to bring Jesus. The thing that you think is disqualifying you doesn't have to if you let go of the pen and let him write a new chapter. It's gonna require you to admit it. It's gonna require some consequences and tough conversations, but I will submit to you, it's gonna bring purpose. It's gonna bring joy. It's gonna be something God could only do.”

#GiveGodThePen
“See, so many of us are etching and writing our life story according to our worst decisions. I'm an addict. I'm an absent father. I'm a failure of a mother. I'm an adulterer. I'm a liar. I'm a thief. I'm deceptive. I'm weak. I'm whatever this thing is, and we keep writing our story according to what we think. We look at our lowest points, our lowest things, and we think this must be who I am. But if you truly want to break through, when you are broken, you have to hand over the pen of your life. And let the author write the story.”

#WorshipThroughHardship
“I hear a lot of times, how could you worship in times like this? How could you go to God and and worship him for who he is for what's all going on? And I'll tell you this, how can you not? It has been in the most difficult seasons of my life when I've been very aware of what's going on in my life and either things I've done or things that have been done to me. It's painful. It's hard. And I'll tell you one thing, The only thing that gets me through those times is the hope in the one that I worship. Because the one that I worship tells me, improves over and over again, the story is not finished. That there's hope again, that he makes things new, that he makes things white as snow, that even in the midst of the ashes, beauty can rise up.”

#GraceThroughLineage
“The story is that God allows him to have another kid named Solomon, and God loves that child. And not just loves him, not just tolerates him but uses him. His name is Solomon and if you go to Matthew chapter one, there's a long list of names and if you look that long list of names, you find out that Jesus who is a little baby boy born in Bethlehem, his lineage where he comes from, if you back it up a thousand years, he is a descendant of somebody named Solomon. Jesus comes from Solomon. This baby who's born from a couple that should never happen. This baby that's born after an affair in a murderer, this little baby becomes a descendant or an ancestor of the most important person who ever lived. And that baby grows up to become the savior of the world and he's gonna bear scars on his hands and his feet to cover our scars.”
